The parents of a British teen, who died suddenly two months ago, received a disturbing letter from the girl's high school saying she needs to improve her attendance or can't go to the prom, the Manchester Evening News reported.
The letter said Megan Gillan's attendance was 60.4 percent and the school requires its students to keep a 92 percent attendance record.
"I screamed when I first saw it," her mother Margaret Gillan told the newspaper. If they want her to attend that much I'll take Megan's remains. It's disgusting."
Gillan was found dead Jan. 19 in her bedroom at her parent's home. The letter was dated March 16.
"Megan would have loved going to the prom," her mother said. "She planned to go with a group of friends, she was really looking forward to it."
A school spokesman apologized and told the Manchester Evening News, "that letter should not have gone out," and blamed it on a "software error."
That is just disturbing. I would be livid.

When we bought the Sonata 2 years ago (not at a Hyundai dealer), we were told there was no warranty on it. AAMCO researched and discovered it IS still under warranty, so it's at the dealership to get all fixed up. Mom-in-law's rent is paid by the money I don't have to spend on the car, and we have another 3 weeks to get PG&E squared away.
Glad everything worked out that way.

I am back to normal.

Took a valium tablet before the surgery. Thought why isn't this working and then I started to walk towards the walls of the hallway. Still didn't like the needle being jammed in to my arm and the fact that I had to wait to fall a sleep by IV and not gas. I think I was more nervous because of how much they were over prepping this oral surgery than the actual procedure itself. I wasn't even allowed to eat or drink even water the night or morning of. They put EKG stickers on me then put the IV (valium drip) into my arm. I asked how long will this take for me to _____________.

The next thing I remember was walking into my grandma's car, then the next thing after that I remember I was at her house so she could monitor me. Lucky for me I don't swell or bruise so my face is back to normal. The pain killers they gave me are so strong they keep knocking me out and when they don't do that I feel nauseous. I think I'll go without them today.

I should also call back a friend who I left a doped up message on their phone that remember making because I thought it would be funny, only to get back a message saying "what."

When I want comfort food I go back to my childhood and have peanut butter, mayo, and Mrs. Fanning's bread bread & butter pickles. Absolute yum! :)

PB, mayo, lettuce and tomato is also very good. :D

Would she let you ride a scooter? Don't laugh - Suzuki makes a 650cc scooter that's very cool. The pix on my post is a 250cc scooter.
Ironically I think she would even though the fears she has are that someone would hit me and that's just as likely on a scooter. I do like the Italian scooters but not quite as much as the Brit bikes.

does anyone else remember the "don't knock it until you've tried it, put a little on your plate, some folks think it's great!" from the 70s or 80s? I think it played sometimes during Schoolhouse Rock.

Fireman dresses as Spider-Man to rescue boy

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29875894/

BANGKOK - A Thai firefighter dressed as Spider-Man to rescue an autistic boy who climbed onto a third-floor balcony and dangled his legs over the side because he was nervous on his first day of school.
Firefighter Somchai Yoosabai was called in after the 11-year-old boy's teachers and mother failed to coax him off the ledge on Monday, he said in a telephone interview Wednesday.
"He was nervous about the first day at school, and he was asking for his mother," Somchai said. "He cried and refused to let any of us get close to him."
Overhearing a conversation between the boy's mother and his teachers about his love for comics and superheroes, Somchai rushed back to the fire station to change into a Spider-Man costume before swinging into action.
"I told him Spider-Man is here to save you. No monster will hurt you now," Somchai said. "Then I told him to walk slowly toward me. I was very nervous that he might have slipped if he got too excited and ran."
Somchai, who keeps costume of Spider-Man and a Japanese superhero Ultraman to liven up fire drills at schools, said the teary-eyed boy broke into a smile and started walking into his arms.
The fictional hero was created by comic-writer Stan Lee in the early 1960s. The character regained its popularity in recent years thanks to the trilogy of Hollywood films starring Tobey McGuire and Kirsten Dunst.

Techie found dead in front of burnt computer

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/4357502.cms

CHENNAI: A young software engineer working with Tata Consultancy Services was killed in a suspected computer blast at his home on Telugu Brahmin Street in Velachery late on Friday. The incident took place when Vijayakumar (28), hailing from Madurai, was working on the computer.

Police said his charred body was found in a sitting posture. “We are yet to ascertain the cause of the blast. The computer was completely damaged and the deceased was charred,” a police officer told TOI. Vijayakumar was sharing the house with two other engineers, Vignesh (26) and Ram Prasad (26). When the accident occurred Ram Prasad was in the room with Vijayakumar, police said.

“Ram Prasad had gone to take bath. He told us that suddenly he heard a blast and when he rushed out he saw the charred body of his friend and fainted,” the officer said. However, the case has baffled the investigating officers. “It sounds quite unbelievable. We have not heard of such a case before. But the scene of the accident seems to suggest that the youth was killed in an accident as his body was in the sitting position in front of the burnt computer,” the official added.

It was my first time watching Wrestlemania in years or wrestling in a while. It could have been because I was watching with people I've known since elementary school but those were some of the most entertaining matches I've seen in a long time. Several times last night I thought someone really hurt themselves, like when the Undertaker did a running front flip over the ropes and landed almost straight on his head (the camera man caught his head with his hand) and HBK held up the medic sign by subtly crossing his arms. That was the fastest I've seen those two move in years. The first match with the 30 feet ladders was crazy and hilarious because of so many botched moves. The last hour was boring though.

Results and any highlights will do those matches no justice.

Cena and HHH are both awful.
Im probably going to take a break until the championship landscape changes up a bit if something big doesn't happen tonight. The only champion I like is MVP. I absolutely despise everyone else. And not a good despise like with JBL or Jericho. They make me want to turn my TV off.

Forget all of you; I like Cena.

Steamboat made the show for me; if he lost about twenty pounds, he could come back full time tomorrow!
Seriously??!
Cena is so beyond stale. 'Word Life' heel rapping Cena was so awesome, and I wish they would bring him back to freshen up the E.

And I agree. After seeing Steamboat tonight on RAW...I want him to be the 'new' Flair, aka the old guy who kicks @$$ and can lead a face Evolution 2.0 to combat The Legacy.
It would give Orton something to do while HHH buries the rest of the roster.
Anyways, stable wars are always fun,

And I must say, discussing wrestling on Kingsfans is something I didn't expect for some reason. Welcome addition.

Cena and HHH are probably at the top of the list of why I stopped watching a while back.

Loved Steamboat though, I will have to catch one of the replays to see him if he was on Raw.
