Kings on a winning streak taking care of business at home against weak, beatable teams, improved to 2-4 for the season. Kings also with the chance to get to .500 playing teams that aren't playing well or that are having key players missing. The team only missing Cisco and playing traditionally well at home will be more competitive with occasional horrendous game just ti remind us that we are a lottery team after all.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Closer look at the schedule reveals opportunities early in the season. 2-4 Warriors are next and then the Pistons that we owned last season for mysterious reasons. Visit ti win less Clippers is followed by 2 home games against the struggling and injured Suns and decomposed Spurs. Anything possible in Memphis, not so much in NO. Then Portland at home, and lakers and Portland on the road. Nets at home close out a "favorable" schedule before it gets really, really brutal.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Piksi's pow(d)er rankings.

With 2 wins against direct opponents Kings hurting themselves big time already trailing impressive Clippers who have made a statement in the hunt for the #1 pick

As for the playoffs - chances still the same at 0%
----------------------------------------------------------------
Brad finally served out hard earned time on the sidelines and it showed last night. We got older, more experienced and more talented. Rebounded improved also. Hopefully, he can improve to a level making him very attractive for possible trades. Keeping Brad for the season will definitely cost us 2-3 draft spots.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is unacceptable. Sure with Brad we have 5 "big" man and minutes will reduce but there is no way that Jason Thompson should be part of that. There is no excuse for that. Winning more games isn't a valid reason too. Are we rebuilding or not ?You have to make decision and stick to it. Are we going to waste another season here ??? And I don't care that it is just one game.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
What is Muss Junior's job ? What is he here for ? He is not going to have winning record, he won't see the post season in years to come and he isn't developing players. We can find someone much cheaper to look good in a suit winning single games from time to time.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
In a game between two lottery teams with no defense played, Kings never looked in danger to give this one away. Solid rebounding, no turnovers and excellent shooting was way too much for Wolves to handle.

AWARD TIME

TDM went to Kevin Love again. He would perfectly fit with Brad and Spencer for a game of slow motion basketball. Pretty effective though.

LV - VC award went to Gomes.

RA & 1 award went to Brewer. You don't see a Kings opponent having a starter who doesn't score in a game

WTF moment od the game - JT's 11:23 PT. Not cool at all
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Warriors are next and they are also 2-4 having key players not playing and being very vulnerable. Kings will take advantage of that at home. I still don't care about that if we just play veterans. Them not having Magette, Harington as well as Ellis will make it much, much easier.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Brad - welcome back
Kevin - keep it up
Mikki - contributong
Salmons - solid
Beno - waking up slowly

Hawes - good off the bench too
JT - needs more PT

rest - mateen

Muss Junior - boooooooooooooooooooooooo
------------------------------------------------------------------
Warriors are falling apart and they aren't really any good when they have everybody playing. Biedrins will win the TDM while LV-VC will go to Watson. Kings will win this one.

I'll be at this one...planning on distracting Nellie with a big box of Marie's donuts (apparently he's been stealing food from Anthony Randolph, so this might work).

Either way, let's get a W!

Both teams come in at 2-4. The Kings look to have righted the ship at bit on this home stand while the Warriors seem to be in growing disaray on the court and in their front office.

Al Harrington is "injured" (he claims), but it's more about ego hurt from being in Nellie's dog house. Magettee is out, meaning Azubuike, Wright and Randolph are now a rotating committee hoping trying to replace his production. S. Jackson has been laboring around 45 minutes of late and never saw so many "wide open" threes in his life - not since Baron was setting him up to launch endless bombs. C.J. Watson now starts at the point - who?! Beidrins is probably MVP in Oakland at the moment - and that includes lumping him in with Raiders. It looks like the Anthony Randolph era (or error) is about to dawn much sooner than expected.

Looking ahead a bit on the Sac schedule, this one looks like a perfectly set up gimmee - if the Kings do a bit more than just merely show up. Detroit calls next with the new A.I. show in tow. Then later it's an injury ravaged San Antonio team in town right after a Kings quick trip down south to face the struggling big time Clips. Phoenix is sandwiched in there somewhere, but at least it's at Arco. Time for Sac to erase all memory of their 0-4 start and get to .500 or above just as quickly. GO KINGS!!

I like your optimism. I was looking ahead on the schedule and was thinking the same thing. The Next 5 or so games are kind of in our favor as you already pointed out.

If that's that little blurb from Melody, the title of it was deceptive to say the least. 1) there is no injured list anymore in the NBA; and 2) Brad would not be on it if there were. He's day to day with a boo boo, which as we saw with Kevin's ankle boo boo doesn't necessarily mean much. The sort of thing every player suffers from over the course of a long NBA season.

A win against the Warriors would be nice, but it would have more meaning to me if the W came along with playing time for the youngsters. Somehow, I just don't get the same warm, fuzzy feeling when their delegated to garbage time.

Someone once said, that people get so caught up in the journey, that they forget where their going. I hope that Reggie still has his eye on the destination of this team. If not, he might not be there when the ship pulls into harbor.

Odd. I've always heard that sometimes people get so caught up in their destination that they forget to enjoy the journey along the way.

I was really hoping/wishing that we'd see new alternate jerseys tonight. I seem to recall them wearing alternate jerseys on Sundays at home...
Isn't the gold lamé our most recent alternate? I think I can live without alternates for now. ;)

Wow a dunk block. You don't see that very often from anyone.

Also, what song is that they are using now for all the outros to commercial? Almost sounds like something by Arcade Fire.

Actually JT has one personal foul so far in this game.
According to whom?

EDIT: Sorry if I sounded rude. I hope he does have just one but Grant did say his name twice in regards to "foul on"... Of course, I'm not going to say Napear is always right or anything. He often spends way too much time chatting to Jerry and not even looking at the court. I noticed that on opening night...

You know, in a way I feel sorry for Douby. Every minute he's unavailable is bad enough. Sitting in street clothes and watching Bobby Brown move up the depth chart is bad enough, seeing him do good while he does it must really sting...
