Just a request - could we NOT make this into a Bibby trade discussion? I really think Beno deserves some props.

:p

Wow!! Beno big congrats! 23 pts and 6 assists and only 1 TO, can't ask for more than that!!! Really good ball handler. Amazing game considering Beno did not play in pre-season and has only, what, 4 games under his belt??

Now the Kings are becoming interesting. If he keeps up the progress, Bibbs will be coming off the bench the way Coach Reggie does things.

I like it!! :D

Good point, indeed. :) Somewhat of a pun by mistake, I think.
Perhaps. Perhaps not.

In any case, I am impressed. It has been quite a while since the team has had two true point guards who are both quality players (once Bibby returns). Somebody slap me, because I am feeling a twinge of optimism. Not for this season, but I think I'm starting to see a possible foundation to start the rebuilding process. I am hoping it will be addition by subtraction.

He had a very nice game. I wish he was better defensively but he works hard on that end of the court. It's nice to have another guy on the floor who can penetrate or hit a jumper.

Man do I agree. I heard coach scream out several times "PENETRATE!" to Beno - and he did - REPEATEDLY! Also, I notices Beno has a fairly deceptive penetrating slip-dribble into the lane which he maintains excellent control in traffic. It's not really a cross-over for the lefty, but very effective. The dude is a solid NBA point guard, a true point guard or pure point guard - whatever you want to call him.

Thats it! Like i've said in begining he signed with Kings! He's got talent, everything is in his head!

Great job today Beno and keep on rockin'!

Exactly my sentiments and I think this is also reflected in Petrie's sitdown with Voisin about building a solid foundation where the core players mesh well together. It's only one game, but I like the promise moving forward.

Agreed. He definitely showed he can run a team tonight. Impressive for such a short time here. I really liked what I saw.

haven't caught many of the recent games, so for those who watch: is beno putting up decent enough stats to pick up in fantasy?? :p
If all you need are stats, why not look them up? Watching the games has nothing to do with a fantasy game, does it?

but 1 good game of stats doesn't tell the whole story. is he consistent, will he get a good amount/more playing time, good chemistry to ensure he won't go into the doghouse, etc. can't just go off of a few games' stats, right?

Oh, gotcha. He looked steady. Composed. Seemed to mesh well with the guys on the floor and have the beginning of good chemistry. He will be Bibby's backup when Bibby returns and the starting 1 while Bibby is out. Played in crunch time and played well. I think the job is his to lose. If he sticks with what he is good at (like yesterday), it's a very good pickup, I think.
