Fox needs to stay but they really need to play Keon I hope Doug doesn't make the same mistake in riding that Fox Monk Derozan Keegan Sabonis lineup too long
Not enough room in the backcourt to play all those guys. If you are going to keep drafting guards you have to be willing to trade your best ones because trading small for big is hard.

Forgot to say, Devin Carter has looked REALLY good.. Like REALLY REALLY good. I am fine with trading Fox. Sometimes the best team on paper isn't the best team on the court. We have learned this this year. I was thinking a 30 win team, but it could be even better than that!
Fox was as engaged on the bench then ever before or maybe he was just more noticeable with that nice fit. Either way I’m sure he sees the potential I believe him when he says he wants to win here

The Kings are a Championship caliber team, right now. Look, I know you all are used to ol' Vinny B saying some crazy things, but The Sauce is right more often than not.

The first thirty games of this year and the last half of last year were the fluke, we were severely underperforming due to a mismatched coach. Christie has unlocked our true potential and that potential is a team that can contend for a title... THIS YEAR. You heard it here first folks.

I know what I saw tonight. I saw a an absolute LASAGNA of a Kings team methodically and calmly take down a full strength defending champion Celtics team. 12 lasagnas.

So I have to wonder how this affects the calculus with Fox. Instead of nervously fretting over whether he'll stay, the better question may be "What can we expect to get from you if we keep you??" :)

I actually don't think it was ever about leaving Sac for Fox. I think he was deeply unhappy with the team in general under Brown, and his agent was using that as leverage. Now that problem has been fixed. I think Fox would happily stay in Sac with the right (not exorbitant) salary, and the right coach/situation. I'm a nutjob conspiracy theorist but I think Fox was a part of the coup/mutiny that got Brown fired.

He's smiling pretty easy on the sidelines lately.

It’s funny to see the pundits doubting DC, beginners luck. I don’t think so, his preparation and rotations and even strategy showed tonight and especially against Golden State. When Kerr was like they shouldn’t have fired MB it’s because they don’t want to face this team with this coach.
I get the sense other coaches don’t really respect him. Even though he’s been on the bench for a few years now, he’s not in the coaches “fraternity“….i hope he keeps snatching victories to shut them all up.

Mark Jones is here for Mark Jones. He plays the same role with the Kings that he plays for national broadcasts. That is, emphasize neutrality so to not offend the other side. But he also knows how to play a bit of a homer when in a situation that allows it. In other words, he is an actor and plays to his audience. It is part of the job.

At least he has toned down the food references a bit. But what I find annoying is that his reading list on flights between games must totally consist of a thesaurus. Trouble is, many on the synonyms he uses are inappropriate or at least malformulated. Keep it simple, big words are not impressive and only tend to focus on the speaker rather than the contest at hand.
This complaint went on so long it should’ve had a movie on it

What a win, I mean people will run out of excuses to justify the Kings undefeated run, against half Sixers, half Mavericks, Heat without Butler, Grizzlies without Morant, Warriors without Kuminga, while the Kings were missing Fox or Keegan before that but it wasn't worth to mention it.

Kings seem to improve in every single game with DC as a coach, I don't know if it's him or the departure of our former coach or a combination of both that changed the momentum, but we have been "fixing" many issues that we faced across in those tough wins in both offense and defense. Suddenly we are hitting threes, we shoot more threes, we defend the threes better, we don't turn the ball over that easily, we don't "blackout" allowing our opponents to have big runs, we respond better after the opponents time out that they usually change their tactics, we are much better in "all the little stuff" "all the details" and for once we have someone standing the whole time over our bench guiding, cheering, calming down the players all 48 freaking minutes, exactly like MB did ONLY in his first year though.

As I wrote some days ago, Christie will call a "happy headache" (we call it like that in Greek) who will be in the starting lineup once all our players will be healthy, could be in the next game at Chicago if Fox is feeling fine.

Regarding Mark Jones, and his thesaurus of words, at least the ones that come from Greek language are spot on and most of them I had no clue that exist in English as well. I think he tries to entertain the audience and even though I can tell that Kyle is a bigger fan of the squad (anybody could tell watching his today in the studio next to Morgan after the match) he doesn't have so much experience and sounds more "flat" using similar quotes and phrases.

Also this was a nice revenge win for the no call foul at Colby last year that the Celtics didn't even care in case they would lose it (we had a huge run with them using reserves the whole time), there were at least a dozen of calls that were for the home side again today, we also got 2-3 (I recall a non call on a foul to Porzingis at some point), but ok we have seen much worse as Kings fans the last couple of years not to mention the ones before that when there was zero respect for us as team.

In another "F*** you Mike Brown" moment yesterday, Sasha scored 45 points in a Euroleague match with 18/20 shots (8/10 3p) and 1/1 free throws. Too bad for him for leaving the NBA, he could have a nice role this season in the Kings if things had gone well or at least the Raptors that don't have so many players in his positions.

Only about a third of NBA head coaches played in the NBA. I wonder if the other 2/3rds get worried that a guy with relatively zero coaching experience like a JJ Reddick or even Doug to a certain extent can just come in and take one of these 30 coveted jobs.

Good for Sasha but he's always struck me as a big fish, little pond guy. I think he's exactly where he belongs and wants to be.

Sasha is one of the casualties of Mike Brown's horrific personnel management skills. This is one reason I'm not simply neutral on Brown. He screwed up a perfectly good situation with Sasha. Just completely fumbled that ball. Absolutely no reason for Brown's nonsense regarding Sasha.

What feels most different for me, is that for most of the season ,a Kings lead hasn't meant much, because they would always let teams back in the game. Those runs and comebacks are limited now with the solid and more consistent defense.
I agree, I felt the same in the match against the Warriors even in early 4th quarter, but now it seems that Kings are the ones doing the "comebacks" late in the game. Forgot how it felt like!
