First, Coach Christie left Carter in there because he was on such a roll. Who saw that coming? It was eight straight points for the rookie--the Celtics were not even trying to guard him at the arc. Second, they put in Lyles for some extra height in the closing 4:13. I thought it would be Ellis, but by golly, it worked, and they held Boston to 7 points the rest of the way.

Mark Jones is here for Mark Jones. He plays the same role with the Kings that he plays for national broadcasts. That is, emphasize neutrality so to not offend the other side. But he also knows how to play a bit of a homer when in a situation that allows it. In other words, he is an actor and plays to his audience. It is part of the job.

At least he has toned down the food references a bit. But what I find annoying is that his reading list on flights between games must totally consist of a thesaurus. Trouble is, many on the synonyms he uses are inappropriate or at least malformulated. Keep it simple, big words are not impressive and only tend to focus on the speaker rather than the contest at hand.

He came here because his daughter was playing at San Jose State. Most of the words he uses are very accurate and not at all malformulated. His language skills are superb. My Smith College educated wife watches partly because she loves his language skills.

What a performance. I did not expect a win @Boston..let alone running away with it how they did. That might be their most impressive regular season win since they got good again. It’s certainly the best team they have beaten.


To find Devin Carter in such a weak draft at 13. I’m going to go ahead and call that a steal. Beast rebounder. Beast defender. A lot of swagger on offense. He’s getting his welcome to the NBA moments out of the way quick. Steph dropping that three in his face and Brown got him a couple times. But he also did well on Brown on a few possessions. Also, he grabbed a rebound in traffic so easily.

Well worth the wait so far.

Carter put them on the mat in the 4th but DeMar put the game on ice.

That is how I envisioned DeMar’s role when we got him. A guy to help us nurse leads to where they don’t get overly sped up and blow leads in crunch time. He’s a closer.

Domas absolutely dominant. Probably would’ve had 35 rebounds if not for all the holding. 3-4 from three as well.

Trey was excellent off the bench. You know he didn’t like Brown with how he’s played since the switch.

Keegan strong game and defense.

The three point defense remains to be vastly improved since the switch.

Sunday is a big game. @Chicago carries the same significance of the Heat came coming off the Warriors win. Kings need to keep this going.

They look really good right now.

Fox needs to stay but they really need to play Keon I hope Doug doesn't make the same mistake in riding that Fox Monk Derozan Keegan Sabonis lineup too long
