Absolutely stupid decision at the end though. I rather see Buddy taking that wide open deep 3 to win the game than driving and spinning and shooting. I don't think that is his game anyway. You're OPEN...just shoot it. Now, you're driving into the teeth of the defense and then shoot? What a dumb decision. You have a chance to steal the game and you didn't even give yourself a chance.

First of all, even if Buddy drive and make that 2 pts shoots...i wouldn't be satisfied because it's only a tied game and Warriors is going to kill you in OT anyway. So, why not take a 3 than a 2.

At some point, there are no moral victories. If the Kings want to compete in the playoffs, they need to start "learning" from these games. How many times will they have "learning experiences"?
I would feel better about playing this close if Denver had been a win. We can't keep falling short in these games if we hope to make the playoffs.

Takeaways from only looking at the box score with zero context of live action:

1) Barnes still isn't hitting shots. He hasn't shot well even once since joining the team.

2) Bagley got big numbers against the best team ever but was poor from the field. Looks like he got to the line a ton though so that's cool.

3) Buddy had a bad game until the end.

4) Giles was very very meeeehhhhhhh

5) Corey Brewer played
3)
Well, that’s why you shouldn’t follow games via box score and make posts like that. Giles wasn’t meh, let alone very very meeeeehhhhh

no question about it. the time for moral victories are over if you are serious about Playoff contention this year. otherwise, have to wait until next season to get over the hump.

Several of his "misses" were actually getting stripped as he made his move. To me, those should go down as turnovers but for whatever reason they book them as shot attempts that are blocked.
Yeah, when they showed his FGs I was like “no freakin way” but the score keeper wanted to give KD those blocks. Granted. I’d take a bad looking FG percentage over what could’ve put his turnovers close to double digits. I’d bet Bagley would as well

Because Bogi has been really really bad in the clutch since the Lakers game winner and Buddy briefly went supernova before that bad last shot.
Give it a break. Bogi barely touched the ball in those last minutes. Kings shot 30% from 3 with DJ sitting one of his best 3 pointers on the bench and at a time he has been shooting well. Buddy never makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and you have the ball go to Buddy.

Overall. We still played a good game.
Not really though. We were horrid from 3 and botched many plays at the end and still were right there. Buddy was hot garbage for 90% of the game. It took a hell of a game from Curry and Durant for them to win. I’m upset at that last play. He should have passed to Bogdan.

Yea that doesnt make sense to me. I agree it should be a turnover. Not that that's any better really. But it would make me feel better about his scoring efficiency.

The thing about the playoffs is... it’s pretty much a guaranteed 4 losses. Which is to say, the process and development is really what matters most. Enjoy it. Could Bagley somewhat quietly put up these kind of numbers a few months ago? No! It’s soo fun to watch the improvement from these guys and dream about the future. That being said.. I sure do hope we make the playoffs! Buuut, let’s be real, the season is already a success regardless.

With all due respect to Bjeli, it's to play him against a team feature four absolute monsters on offense and Draymond Green because he's not an average NBA athlete.

You know why Buddy Hield was 0-6 before those last minutes shots? Because freaking De'Aaron didn't even look for him and when he's open, he failed to give him the ball. The BEST SHOOTER on the entire team should be giving priority when you're playing QB. Even Buddy was talking to Fox for not seeing him open at times. Also, De'Aaron need to learn that during fast break, if you're 3 on 2 or 3 on 1...he needs to learn to attack the basket to draw a man toward you before passing to someone wide open. He passed the ball way too early during fast break.

Yes about the last play being complete sh*t, but we still played well. Curry alone hit 10/16 three pointers and our threes weren't falling the same way.

Odd critique given that Fox very wisely passed on a dunk for a Buddy 3 in the crucial closing moments.

Also, you don’t think Fox knows how to run a fast break? Huh??

1) Barnes is a stud, I think he will figure it out. Dude has HEART and balls of steel.

2) Bagley had a little butterfingers at times, but still played his heart out.

3) Buddy Buckets should change his name to Buddy Bricks...JK I still love you Buddy.

4) Giles was meh, but I want him in there over Belly for his defense and tenacity.

5) Corey Brewer can ******* play. Give this man some more time, he makes us so long!
