The Kings have to win this one...for me.
I'm coming down from the forest to attend my first game at the G1C. I think the least the Kings can do is honor the occasion by winning. I do not feel it's too much to ask.

Have fun, @VF21!
I have a gut feeling that it's gonna be a good one!
Blazers are just as bad a rebounding team as we are (tied with us in 26th place...).
but they differ from us on almost anything else, on both ends of the court.
The Run&Gun-ish offense is one thing, but the D is interesting -
With all their offensive weapons, POR is quite POOR defensively:
They share the Kings' problem of allowing 3s to rain on them,
(Portland actually allows an even higher % than we do!!

)
but while we seem to do that as a scheme thing, a preference
to shut the paint and risk the long-range bombs,
it must be something else with the Blazers, because they're also
one of the league's worst in allowing points in the paint (#22),
whereas we excel in this department (#2!)
They took the first match (11/11) by a heartbreaking OT miss of a layup,
and that was on the road.
If we want to compete for the 8th PO spot - tonight IS a MUST-WIN,
as that's the team to beat in the overall matchup.
BTW, think of me whatever you like, but as I see it -
The Kings are
probably getting a post-season ticket this year.
(There - I said it!)
I estimate our current chances to make/miss the Playoff as 60/40.
(In October I felt it was 70/30. I'm not the knee-jerking kind

)
