I dont't care about our offensive playstyle. Go ahead Karl - push the damn pace, if this is what you think leads to more wins.
All I care about is our defense and the amount of broken plays and miscommunications, that cost us game after game. Wether it's Belli dribbling the ball of his knee, Rondo throwing passes right into the hands of the opposing team, Cuz dribbling into traffic, Rudy being lose with his dribble, Ben stumbling while driving straight, useless switches, that end up with Rondo guarding Pierce or Griffin or Belli and Rudy leaving 3point shooters wide open, because they are not on the same page while switching matchups - this has to stop.
Yesterday I saw a couple of very good plays designed for Belli, that led to wide open looks for our best shooter. And I saw a team, that was over all decent, when defending 5vs5 after made baskets. 3 quarters looked like a step into the right direction.
But in the 4th we played like the 76ers again.
I think the main reason is that we added so many new players. But actually this is not an excuse, when you have a whole training camp and preseason to get on track.
We are a veteran team, but we don't have a strong system to fall back to, when under pressure. Players try to win games going 1vs5, the ball stops moving, we take bad shot after bad shot and turn the ball over. And this happens every time, when the opponents trying to close the quarter strong and lock us down.
We need to fix this fast, or this season will be just another disappointment.
