If there is issues with the team it's Rudy Gay and Rondo............

#Rudy does not matter where you play him SF/PF you know two things he's going to take horrific shots and not play any defense
#Rondo liked the fact he battled but he doesn't make anyone better and he kills floor spacing and his defense for the most part other than reaching in is.......
#Cousins good to see him back look good next to Willie for stretches but his inner Josh Smith keeps taking over with TO's and horrid shot selection
#WCS liked what I saw him and Cousins can be something really nice
#Kosta good mins
#Casspi played very well our best wing player this year which is a massive concern
#SG's........no comment needed.
#Karl seriously needs to stop pulling Willie from games the kid can ball and is super disruptive other teams.

I think we can still salvage the season DMC/WCS is a terrific duo to build around but man we need the right pieces rather than big names that play no defense and put up empty stats.
I've been saying over and over that Karl keeps yanking Trill all over the place..the kid makes an impact out there and he needs to play through adversity and if he is playing well, he should remain in the game. Simple as that. Rookie or not.

I hope this crap takes care of itself. It would behoove us to remember that even though the Kings are 1-7, the pelicans are 0-6, and the Suns and Grizzlies both have 3 wins. Therefore, even though we have played like garbage some of the teams we will compete with for playoff spots have started terribly as well.

Actually the games versus the Clippers, Warriors and Spurs were winnable and were lost by unforced errors and bad habits.
The whole issue with Cuz not getting back is a bit overblown for me. Of course he should stop arguing with the refs sometimes. But when you rely on a center, that searches for contact on every play this is the price to pay. Cuz ended on the floor a couple of times yesterday. Of course he will be late getting back sometimes.
We could reduce the number of occasions, where this happens, if we could manage to give Cuz more easy looks and quit forcefeeding the ball into him, because we have no backup plan, when he is defended well.
But this will always be our achilles heel, because this is the way Cuz plays.
That's exactly my point - good teams don't make these unforced errors when they matter. Most NBA teams can hang with any other team on a good night, but come crunch time the better team ends up executing better. Being able to hang around with the Clippers and Warriors and Spurs in "winnable" games means diddlysquat if you don't actually win. So we need games against "up and coming" teams to see whether we execute better than they do. Then you'd know whether we can even be a fringe playoff team.

Yeah so he was so horrible, had a much much weaker roster, and still managed to win only 4 less games than we did any year with Malone. Also had much better offensive sets.
We would have won quite a few games last season with Malone if PDA/Vivek didn't decide to **** the bed.

And us having a better roster under Malone is debatable.

So..... agree to disagree!

Let's just say Malone did more with less than Karl is doing with more at the moment...

This is a very rational approach and I'm not completely rational, when it comes to the Kings. ;)
My main point was the complaints about Cuz not getting back on D in time.
Wether we are just like "most" NBA teams or not remains to be seen.

According to Casspi, Cousins sent out a text to his teammates last night to tell them how much he cares about the team and wants to win.
I am very much liking Cousins stepping up. He should, he is the team leader. We go as far as he can take us. we knew going in that the record we have was a possibility, perhaps a probability, with so many new faces. The Achilles came at a bad time (as if there is ever a good time) and much of the frustration comes from the stretches of just total ineptitude. Now is not the time to lose faith. Now is not the time for doubts to eat further at egos. Now is the time for banding together. This is the adversity, the trial by fire, that will (hopefully) mold this team into what we all hope it will be, what it has the potential to be.
