Preach brotha.

This isn't what we need out of our leader. He needs to be rallying the troops, not the one driving them off the cliff.

Other guys on the team aren't mailing it in. Landry, McCallum and Ben are all still playing hard and trying on both ends of the floor. Rudy and Cuz should be embarrassed with their effort and attitude today.
He's 24 years old, immature and just lost the one relationship he has apparently trusted in his career. Is this really that hard to understand?

They've been hacking Cousins all night with no whistle. That was bound to happen. I think Boogie took exception to Smart trying to box out his legs and take out his legs as he was running. Not illegal but not exactly honorable.

Nice throwdown though.

He's done everything he could...right up until today. He finally snapped. I defy you or anyone else to be able to do the same.

It's so easy to point to DMC's ONE lapse and forget about how much he's tried to carry this team.

Be very careful, all of you so quick to want to blame DMC right now. We lose him, we lose this team ... at least as far as being anything we'd want to watch for the next decade or so.

All the talk of pace, jazz, trumpets etc, doesn't matter when a decision kills the morale of a team.

If you're going to fire the coach, what's your plan? Bring your top player on board. Communicate with fans. Hasn't happened. #NBAKings
I can't watch this garbage. AND I'm agreeing with Jones and Breton. A month ago I would have never believe either statement regarding the Kings.

Twitter has blown up even more than last night. I won't continue to share the tweets since it bothers some, but if you can access twitter, you should probably do so. This is a fanbase in total and complete revolt...

Well, no, there is another way to put it. Unless, of course, you'd already made up your mind that Cousins hasn't matured, and will never mature, and you've just been waiting for 'the other shoe' to drop, this whole time.
That's the thing. Cuz HAS matured, but apparently that was all tied with Malone. There's no denying the vastly improved mentality over the past year and a half.

But when you're a franchise guy (and he is) and the team is going through an incredibly rough patch (which they are), we need him to step up and be the leader. Not going the other direction.

That's all im saying

Jeeze....

Just when you think the team has hit rock bottom....

The Kings keep burrowing deeper.

Thanks Vivek, PDA, and Mullin! 3.0 rocks!!

There's no excuse for Cuz there, has to keep his composure.

However, leadership starts at the top, first with the owner, then the FO/GM, followed by the coach who acts as a general leading his troops, then down to the players who lead the team. When there's a serious breakdown at the top, it funnels down to the players.

Leaders have a vision they build towards and when that vision is no longer there, you're basically attempting to lead through a thick fog with no plan to follow, destination unknown. That's a recipe for disaster.

I am just sick. The guys don't deserve this, we don't deserve this and to be honest the other NBA fans don't deserve this. The only people that DO deserve to watch this crap are the brain trust that thought letting Malone go in order to "bring in a better product"

Seriously...it's so damn easy to just say that these 2 guys just need to turn the page and lead. Well, apparently it's not that easy or else they would. These are the same 2 guys who were leading this team in the off-season, leading them in the early season before the firing and now that their coach was fired for being what? Successful? You don't think these guys take this personally? An apparent lack of communication on everything from the front office?!?!

So easy to sit and armchair manage and tell these guys to just flip the switch and lead...turn the page. SMDH.

You are right. DMC has done alot for this team and was doing all he could after his illness. But today he was really bad. You can blame the refs for not calling multiple fouls, but if DMC calls out his teammates, he has to do a better job guarding his man. Sully did look like a star out there.

FWIW: This guy worked in PR for the Kings and was fired after Vivek & company took over. soo i think this says alot about the guys in charge.............

When you continually screw over decent people for no reason, it usually comes back to haunt you ... #notnamingnames #karma
That adds to the claim Napear made yesterday, which is that the anger and disbelief in what's going on is shared by many within the organization as well.

That's an enormous red flag. It's pee poor leadership when less than two years after taking over, many in your organization are unhappy with upper management.

Throwing a guy to the floor is kind of a big deal. I wouldn't be surprised if the league office suspends him for tomorrow's game, actually.
And it'd actually be justified. Smart went for the hard-box out, which is quite understandable when you're trying to box out 6'11 270 pounds and you're 6'3 220 pounds.

According to Jason Jones, Vivek said they made the coaching change because he thought we would only be a game or two out of the playoffs
So...to preserve our draft pick this year? Is that what he means?

Hope that draft pick is real valuable, because this team is going to see the biggest percentage drop in season ticketholders from one season to the next in NBA history at this rate.
