What you saw today was bad. But the problem is that as a Celtics fan you've probably only seen DeMarcus play one time this year. The strides, not only in his game, but in his attitude and leadership that Cousins has exhibited over his four years in purple are remarkable, and I for one am not willing to erase them over one bad game. We have a pretty good idea what factors precipitated today's meltdown - which is something we have not seen all season, or even most of last season. It's a combination of frustration over the firing of Coach Malone (Malone was most decidedly 100% NOT "coach-killed" by Cousins) and some very suspect refereeing that ignored hacks on him down low and inexplicably refused to give him obvious continuation on the (only) two fouls called in his favor. In fact, if you noticed, on the Tyler Zeller flagrant-1 the officials did NOT give continuation despite the fact that he was very obviously going up when he was hacked. He got the free throws because the foul reviewed to be a flagrant-1.
So we understand why he was frustrated. He needs to do a much better job of not giving in to that frustration. Today he did not. But in the recent past he has, and while we're upset at how this game turned out, don't expect to see Kings fans agreeing with your assessment. Cousins is far too good, and has come much too far, for us to turn on him over one bad game.
And, while you're welcome to your opinion, let me give you one of my own: If Cousins were on the Celtics, you guys would have 20+ wins right now.
