Yeah, this was my first opportunity to see a Kings game in quite some time. Simply put I think the rotation players should be a lot better by now. I like Ben, but if they can get someone valuable for him I would hope they pull the trigger. Great athleticism but tended to stand around camped out on the 3-pt line instead of moving without the ball to take advantage of his strengths. Very poor ball handling, which is a problem when you're dribbling into a scrum, and if they are still talking about your confidence a year later than I vote for a change of scenery. It could be that he just needs a better fit.
For all the gripes I'm seeing about D-Thrill, I thought he did pretty well. Very active in rebounding, in the mix breaking up a lot of shots, and showing some signs of developing the start of a perimeter game. He struck me as unselfish and athletic, and I know he's been working to shore up his weaknesses. I like the progress.
Overall, especially in the first half, I thought the guys played very unselfishly. Lots of passing up good shots for great shots, and off-the-ball help. I thought the second half wasn't so much selfishness, but rather a desire to get any points they could because of the deficit they created with their insufficient defense. It was great to see our guys play, but I do have to say that I expected a full game out of them. Thumbs up for the first half though!
