yeah, it's been disappointing, to say the least. i expected mclemore to be streaky, as most rookie shooters are, but his lack of assertiveness, lack of a handle, and lack of a worthwhile rim attack are on full display. mccallum looks like a decent prospect, but other than that, there's
nobody on this summer league roster worth a damn, and
that is what reveals mclemore's biggest weaknesses. he can't even take advantage of the fact that he's top dog on the team, because he
requires the assist from more talented teammates in order to thrive. i still believe mclemore will have modest utility in his rookie campaign, but i've resigned myself to the fact that the kings are likely going to end up starting an utterly non-defensive backcourt of vasquez/thornton to open the regular season, provided there isn't the kind of magical trade between now and then that so many kings fans are hoping for...
