I personally checked both my maiden name and my previously married name, my name is NOT on the list. HOWEVER, I checked my sister's name and hers is on the list. The ONLY explanation I can think of is that I have not had a MAJOR credit card in my name. NO VISA, MC, AMERICAN EXPRESS. I believe she has. Just please check! there is an email at the bottom to send them a remove my name request. YIKES! --Prophetess

I checked out my name and a couple of others. Most people are on this
list. I don't know the criteria for being on it, but I'm going to request removal. For now, this is supposed to be a test site. The launching of the site is in May. Pass the info around.

Check this out below, it's scary! Once you find your name, click on
your address and it shows a map of your neighborhood showing your house.

I was recently made aware of a new website that is called www.zabasearch.com. Upon visiting the site I was shocked to learn that there was so much information about me on it my addresses and phone numbers dating back 10 years, my birth date, maps to my address and the instant capability to search 7 search engines to gather information about me.

While it is somewhat interesting it is also scary if you think about
it!

Please log-on to www.zabasearch.com, enter your name and home state.

This site gives personal and private information without your consent.

If you would like to have your name removed from their database send an email request to info@zabasearch.com, requesting immediate removal.

Protect yourselves.

Oh my gosh!...Well I'm not in there (same as Proh-no major credit cards), but most of my family is on there! I'm going to remove my parents from there and send an e-mail to everyone I know.

Scary indeed.
 
it seems like they're doing it by phone numbers, if you have a phone in your name you're probably on there. Could be wrong on this.

Nope. Its not phone #'s. Its not even home ownership...No wait....

Arugh! This is not cool.
 
i know its by ownership because i just did my name and it had my last 3 apts i lived in on there.......... now i live with my parents and that one isnt on there....
 
yeah my name isn't on there though there are a quite a few people with my name in my state and two people in GA with my exact first and last name....I did find my dad's name on there...TWICE...for two different phone numbers one is our actually phone number and the second was a number he had in his name that was a seperate phone line for me and my sis years ago...pretty interesting though...anybody could get your number and address if they know your first and last name using this...crazy
 
The info is not the most updated, though... my brother-in-law moved to California more than two years ago, but they still have him listed in Reno.

Hard to say where they're getting the info from. I would say property tax records but they have renters there... I would say Mailing Address but they don't reflect the post office updates. Then again, the post office doesn't always reflect the post office updates.... :rolleyes:

If it was by phone or home, or renting, I would be on that list...;)

my dad's two cents:

These entries are simply gathered from public records that anyone can access if they know how and/or are willing to spend a little money.
Getting all in a lather to get your name removed from this list isn't going to change anything.

"1984" is a bit late getting here but it WILL get here.
The most recent satellite photo of our house that I've seen was taken about 4 p.m. on a summer day. I can tell by examining the shadows of our palm trees.
Everyone look up and say "cheese". "

I think My Dad was just saying that sooner or later...anyone can get any info on you whenever they want...personally...I don't want to give them a better chance.. IF my name was on the list I would send a removal request...
 
I am glad my name is not there. :D Well it is but someone has the same name as me though so no worries. I alos found it a little discerning that the Kings players are there aswell. Not good :(

But you said its by HOME ownership and living in an apartment is not the same.

I noticed that too! It's pretty crazy someone can find out all that stuff about you...who knows what's in that "background report"! It's a little creepy if you ask me.

I checked my name,and damn it,my name is on it twice,I do have 2 phone lines,i think it has something to do with phone #s and all i've seen is open to public records.

Actually, I am listed in California (my last couple of addresses), but I am not listed in Illinois.

I think you're right,having a phone in your name,and the # must be listed.

That would explain why I am not listed in Illinois. The phone is in my sister's name. ;)

however, it still does not explain why i am not, almost every phone i've had was in my name.... so no dice on the phone listing being what they use...
