We needed a coaching change, Rick wasnt really getting through to players anymore. I mean, look at Ron's 3 pt attempts per game, and his percentage of actually making them.
Personally, I'm excited to see what Muss does to the Kings. He never had an over .500 season as head coach, but he did pretty good with what he had. Vastly improved the Warriors' win percentage when he was there.
People should get over Bonzi. Kings did pretty good with Kevin starting for him last season, so why shouldnt they do good with Kevin replacing him as starter this season? All those Bonzi rebounds will go to Brad or Reef. We might be down 1 or 2 offensive rebounds a game, but we're also gonna be down a few turnovers (One of Bonzi's "talents" that people tend to forget) with Bonzi gone.
Pretty bad offseason as far as signings go. Hopefully Salmons will pan out taking Kevin's spot as a reserve...If he doesnt Petrie is gonna look bad. And I'm just as frustrated as everyone else with the frontcourt problems right now.
But seriously: this team will probably get around 45-50 wins, make the playoffs, and get eliminated in the first round again...Maaaaaybe second.
Everyone needs to stop being so gloomy! Kings are 1 or 2 bigs away from actually being elite again! With all the contracts coming off the book at the end of this season Petrie might actually have the frontcourt fixed in time for the 07-08 season.
