YOUR Draft Board for the Kings

There's been a lot of speculation about who the Kings should pick next Wednesday. So I wanted everyone to post their "Draft Board" of who they would like to see the Kings pick. At least a top 5. To keep this from becoming a rediculous topic ("I'd take Aldridge, then Roy...), let's assume the following players will be drafted, since 99% of mock drafts have them gone by our pick.

Adam Morrison
Tyrus Thomas

Rudy Gay

LaMarcus Aldridge

Andrea Bargnani

Brandon Roy

Marcus Williams

Randy Foye

Patrick O'Bryant

Shelden Williams

Ronnie Brewer

Cedric Simmons

Rodney Carney

J.J. Redick

My list (subject to change at any time ;) )

1 - Guillermo Diaz
2 - Thabo Sefolosha
3 - Sergio Rodriguez
4 - Shannon Brown
5 - Maurice Ager
6 - Kyle Lowry
7 - Rajon Rondo
8 - Saer Sene

1. Hilton Armstrong
2. Saer Sene
3. Shawne Williams
4. Rajon Rondo
5. Kyle Lowry

there's probably someone I forgot but those are the top 5.

My sig isn't in order, but I'll do one the best I can:

1. Hilton Armstrong
2. Rajon Rondo
3. Kyle Lowry
4. Guillermo Diaz
5. Saer Sene
6. Shannon Brown
7. Quincy Douby
8. Shawne Williams
9. Mike Gansey
10. Will Blalock

I'd be happy with any one of them. Among others, but kept it to those main ten. Just would prefer we don't draft Ser-Rod or Farmar.

I'm really hoping someone slips from that first group. If not:

1. Quincy Douby
2. Guillermo Diaz
3. PJ Tucker
4. Kyle Lowry
5. Hilton Armstrong
6. Alexander Johnson
7. Jordan Farmar
8. Rajon Rondo
9. Sergio Rodriguez
10. Oleksy Pecherov

3. Patrick O'Bryant
4. Rajon Rondo
5. Hilton armstrong
6. Alexander Johnson
7. Sergio rodriguez
8. Guillermo Diaz
9. Kyle Lowry
10. Quincy Doby

The first 3 are a short wish list...the others are more realistic....I'd be happy with any of these guys.

1.Saer Sene
2.Guillermo Diaz
3.Rajon Rondo
4.Shawne Williams
5.Sergio Rodriguez

I'd be happy with any of these, mainly top 4. But Petrie always picks someone that I would never have expected.

1. Shelden Williams (I know I know.. He will be gone)
2. Shawne Williams
3. Mardy Collins
4. Sergio Rodriguez
5. Joel Freeland

NO HILTON ARMSTRONG PLEASE! HE IS A JOKE!

1: Saer Sene --- IF your going to pick a project, make it one that could pay dividends if it works...The guy could very well develop into the shot-blocking/tough/defensive center we crave so much.

2: Thabo S. --- Losing Bonzi is a real possiblity, so bring in a guy who can help fill the void left behind. Maybe more of a 3, so Cisco can shift back to out back-up 2...Boris Diaw lite? Cisco Garcia 2?

3: Sergio Rodriguez --- Probably more of a project that an imediate impact player...Can he defend? Do we want to draft a PG that won't do anything for awhile when we have Ronnie Price, who people seem to be high on? I do, however, like the Jason Williams comparisons, as his wild style of play is fun to watch.

4: Rajon Rondo --- Really tough defender with a bad shot and horrible mechanics...Jason Hart the repeat?

Beyond those four guys, I know pretty much nothing about anyone...Those guys have been the ones to catch my eye when browsing around draft lists.

1. Guillermo Diaz
2. Hilton Armstrong
3. Saer Sene
4. Kyle Lowry
5. Sergio

The guy I think could be a steal and would be available is P.J. Tucker but I dont know if at #19 he's the pick we'd want. He is slated in the mock draft to go in the 20's. I see him as a Bonzi Wells type guy. Undersized rebounding swingman.

sorry I disagree. The man blocks shots and rebounds. Thats all we need. We have scorers.

The man can't rebound (6.6 rebounds at the college level is nothing), has no heart (look at his first 3 years of college), and only blocked shots in his last year. His game I guarantee will not make the transition to the pros. The guy didn't do crap in college.

But hey, if we want a guy to ride the bench, and avg 1ppg and 1rpg than lets draft the guy. Yes I have seen him play. He is very unimpressive for a big man. The only reason he is mentioned in the first round is because he is 6'11 and played at UCONN. Otherwise he wouldn't be drafted at all. So why waste a first round pick on this guy?

I don't understand why Sergio Rodriguez's name keeps coming up as a project. He can come in and play back up PG right away. The main obstacle from a young PG getting playing time is if he can run the offense. That's Sergio's strong point. There are things to not like about him, and maybe we shouldn't get him, but he is not a project. He can give us 20 min. a night as a backup PG. Just because he's European doesn't mean he's a project.

I only have two (I am using the premise that a young, athletic big man will be much more difficult to find than a backup PG):

1. Hilton Armstrong
2. Saer Sene

Saer Sene I would take over 10 Hilton Armstrong's.

OK I will stop bashing the poor heartless guy :)

After this bit..

Hilton Armstrong: Not very polished on the offensive end, partly due to the fact that he only averaged 10, 10 and 12 minutes per game his first three years ... Although he has the size to play center in the NBA, he could add more weight and strength ... Below average court awareness, gets caught making mistakes in defensive switch-offs … Plays inconsistent on the offensive end, his confidence seems to get shaken if he's not making his shots…. Plays timid at times, lacks the killer edge, consistency ... Good lateral quickness, but when he gets drawn out of the paint, he's susceptible to the pump fake which makes his leave his feet early and take some bad fouls ... Mental toughness has been a question for him in the past ...

Of course he didn't play much the first 3 years. Look at who was in front of him. It's kind of amazing he can come in and average 9/6/3 with basically no experience. He'll be better than that in the NBA. I mean this was the first year he actually was able to get time.
