Yet another trade Martin for ??? thread

Martin is my favorite King... End of story. I have no idea why I am the OP but blah blah blah blah blah blah and I did not make that title up.. blah blah blah

Been saying it since we drafted Evans.. Martin and Evans cannot play together. A lot of their game (both Evans, and Martin) is avout betting to the rim. Martin will not want to sit outside all the time and pop 3s because his game is all about driving to the basket and drawing fouls. Evans CAN'T sit outside and pop 3s because he doesn't have a consistent jumper.

Which player makes the TEAM better? Well Evans of course. As much as I hate to say it the Kings will have to move Martin. Unless either Evans or Martin want to change their game which I wouldn't expect them to do for the sake of "trying" to fit together.

Players on my short list I would like to see in a Kings uni are;
Sessions
Love
Bosh

Players I would trade Martin for but unsure the team would get much better with are;
Jefferson
Devin Harris
There are others but I am forgetting heh.

id be so down for sessions... even if its a straight salary dump like blount and sessions for martin. we wont get love or bosh. but i wonder if we could trade martin, beno and hilton for jefferson and sessions. that would be a nice lineup with size and defense from the backcourt with sessions and evans. though sessions isnt much of a shooter. teams would zone the hell out of us. but that would open up shots for casspi and garcia. i doubt that donte would be consistent enough to punish a team for going zone on us. jefferson would help, being a good post player but he is a bad passer from what ive seen of him. hawes would have open shots all night i would just hope that he doesnt go behind the arc everytime.

harris wouldnt work with evans for the same reasons martin doesnt work. though he is a good player, just not a good fit.

Harris and Sessions are in the same boat as Kevin I think. Neither of those guys are the outside shooter to compliment Reke IMO. We need a guy who can score from outside consistently, handle the ball, pass the ball well, but is a bit of a combo guard. Beno's been pretty good in that role though honestly IMO.

what about a player like daniel gibson? though his defense is kinda suspect and his passing isnt the best.

the problem with beno is that he is used off the bench... westphal would have to commit to starting beno at pg.

Love would be nice. I dont know how good his D is aside from rebounding though. But he's a monster on the boards.

I almost think we should hold onto Kevin until the offseason though. Chemistry issues aside. We trade him now, we're not making playoffs, we're just screwing up our draft position. I think we'll have a lot more options after the season ends anyways. Draft day trade kind of options. And who knows, if Reke and Kev start clicking thats a hell of a backcourt.

OTOH if an amazing offer is laid down we take it. But I dont think we need to rush things. Trading Noc should be priority #1...Gotta free up space. Cisco is returning soon, and Greene/Omri need to stay in the rotation.

I think Cisco can play the role we want out of a backcourt mate for Evans - outside shooting and some ballhandling relief. If we bring in another guard we better move at least 2.

Evan Turner from Ohio State does that.

If we trade Martin, it needs to be for an upgrade at the 4 or 5, specifically on defense.

hell no, i was just trying to think of players that could fit with evans. that would be a complete rip off to trade martin and end up with gibson.

Oh yeah, include Dunleavy, etc. That would surely magnify Hawes' brand of play in this team. Let us add some more of the finesse, awkward white guys who can't jump, nor defend on this team.

Please, no more of those types. Let us get the Brockmans and Kirilenko type of players please.
