The Sacramento Kings waived seldom-used guard Will Solomon on Friday after just 14 games with the club. The Kings picked up Solomon from the Toronto Raptors in a three-way trade on Feb. 19. He averaged 5.0 points and 1.5 rebounds for Sacramento, but had played just once in the Kings' last seven games while battling minor injuries.

Odd. I have been convinced that his selfish play following his big game against Cleveland had earned him a quick place in the doghouse, but what's the point of waiving a guy with 5 games left? Has the problem actually become so major that its a locker room distraction? Is there a season starting up for a league somewhere around the world where he wants to be able to catch on with a team?

Yeah, weird. He's obviously not that useful and not at all part of our long term plans, and normally a guy like him should finish the rest of the season with us...we only had 14 players on our roster (now 13), so it's definitely not an attempt on our part to sign another player (like what OKC did with Shaun Livingston, and what SAS did with Marcus Williams just a couple days ago) just to see what they've got in preparation for the summer leagues. More than likely, I think Willie's just dissatisfied with the team atmosphere, may want more of an opportunity to strut whatever stuff he has, or just wants a fresh beginning.

I heard Grant ripping him on today's show. I haven't been listening to Grant and Mike all that much but I assume that Grant probably hasn't said anything negative about him until he was waived (or at least nothing as poignant as he was today about him). Typical Grant.

With that being said, I am glad that they waived him. :)

So, we end the season with Beno and B-Jax, with B-Jax more than likely gone next season. With Beno sucking, I really see us trying to get Rubio........:D
