The Knicks considered drafting Jimmer Fredette, the upstate Glenn Falls, N.Y., native who dazzled the college basketball world last season by leading the nation in scoring while playing for LSU.

But the Knicks decided not to trade up from their No. 17 spot to land the shooting guard, and the Kings were plenty pleased to nab him with their selection.

Fredette has made an impact coming off the bench, averaging 10 points and 25 minutes. He has looked to pass the ball on a team where there isn't a lot of passing as players tend to dominate the ball and try to take over with the dribble. Twice in the last two games, Fredette has been caught in the corner or the sideline, having stopped his dribble and found no cutters, and then committed a turnover.
