Derrick Favors and DeMarcus Cousins will square off one-on-one in a workout for the Nets.

Hmmm. Favors could easily take Cousins outside and make him look bad I guess, but Cousins is just so big- IDK if Favors can do anything at all in the posts either way.

That last part is interesting regarding Prince. I'm not opposed to moving down in the draft a little if it betters our situation overall.

Yeah, I posted this over in the Personnel forum under the draft workoouts stuff.

The Prince thing...hard to tell if that is just sheer speculation or not. I mean, I assume Prince is just sheer speculation, but the stuff about wanting a veteran SF. I mentioned over in the Hedo trade thread that Petrie has routinely, and I do mean routinely, thrown aging vets in front of young players and stunted their development. It would hardly be unprecedented, and Prince has both championship experience and a bigtime defensive focus that could be important. But us giving up our #5 to do it would just be maddening. On the other hand the Hedo possibility might seem to loom larger, given that we'd have to give up almost nothing to get him.

I could easily see Petrie trading down to #7 and taking the leftover of Johnson, Cousins, Monroe and Whiteside in exchange for Prince and Nocioni swap.

1) It accomodates Noc.
2) It improves our overall cap structure long term
3) Prince is an upgrade over Nocioni
4) I don't really think it will happen, just rather that it COULD happen.

If we landed the Pistons draft pick next year as well, then I think I could sign off on the deal if we felt the Warriors would pass on Monroe for one of Aminu, Udoh, Aldrich or Whiteside.
