Wolves @ Kings Game Thread

I guess you can say that TO and Sprewell making the shot at the buzzer at Halftime was the killer for Kings.

But IMO, I think it's 3rd QTR. They came out from halftime and allowed Wolves to do almost anything the WOlves want. They also shot horrible which wasn't helping. Their rebounds went down too. I also thought their energy went down and Wolves energy went up.

Also, WOlves always play well against the Kings...especially at ARCO. I think they've won like 6-7 games in a row now at ARCO?? They always play well here.

The fact the people are actually talking about the fact that Cat turned the ball over at the end of the FIRST HALF as being the reason we lost is ridiculous

First off it wasn't a guarantee that on that last possession were gonna score...and even if we did go into the half with a one point lead big deal there have been times when we were up by more than 1 point and have came back in the 2nd half and let the team take the lead...so i agree with Heuge in that it was rather meanlingless...the Kings had an entire 24 mins to make up for the first half bad shooting and they never did...nobody really shot well...and at the end of the day THAT is why we lost

Blaming the loss on one person is just sad...you win as a team and you lose as team...the Kings did a great job at winning as a team on Friday against the Cavs and this afternoon they did a great job at losing as a team...and as much as i hate to say it you have to give the Wolves credit they shot well and for them thats what won the game...

and now im outta here before the usual "we lost the game" complaining starts

GO KINGS!!

OMG. When did I ever say that the turnover cost the game? Please point it out for me. Kings just sucked like usual on the defensive end, didn't turn the ball over much, but turned it over at critical times, and just plain sucked.

You said this better then I could. Thank you.

Either way I don't know it matters that much.

Kings could make it past either Dallas or Seattle with a little luck.

But making it past Suns AND Spurs.... aint gonna happen.

Too much whining to the refs, losing their compusure, not playing any defense, and not making shots=loss. Wolves still!! at 53%. Can't win alot of games, letting an opponent shoot that well.
^^^^^ Is what cost us the game, IMHO. One stupid mistake didn't do it, regardless of what Al Michaels said and Hubie agreed with. We had every chance in the world to get the game back and what mazzystar mentioned above PLUS a total lack of ball movement in the second half was what cost us. If anything, I would be more upset about the ridiculous technical Thomas got than Cat's dumb pass.

Thomas and Mobley totally lost their cools out there and that is not acceptable.

Yep VF. Kings just didn't do everything they needed to get the win. I am not going to sit and harbor on that turnover. Kings just didn't bring their A game today.
Sometimes I think I need to stop watching, I get waaay to pissed at losses, especially to the Dang Wolves GRRRRRRRRrr.

Oh, Well ....

Disappointing loss, but the outcome doesn't surprise ... game meant more to Minnesota ... what I wonder about is what makes a game matter to the King's

I said this in my earlier post, but this was a bigger game for the Wolves. If they would have lost, their playoff hopes is gone.

But then again, big game for Kings too cause you want the "X" next to your name ASAP. :D

Poor Defense by Kings. KG and Kandi scored inside like nothing. Latrell and Cassell were playing like how they were last season. Like I said, WOlves always play well vs Kings.

BIGGER GAME THIS TUESDAY VS SONICS!!!!

True. It would have been nice to have played the spoilers!!!

Okay let's put it this way.

The consistent bad decision making by Cat is what troubles me, period. I am not only talkin about the TO before the half. But overall shoot selection, passing or as simply as emotion managment.

Yeah the man can get hot suddenly to hit 4 threes in a row. But as far as the team go I really think his decision making is hurting our TEAM.

That's my 2 cents.

Before I go off to bed just to say a couple of words.Kings had very bad FG% tonight and that is one of the main reasons why we lost this game. Also, deffence was very very bad in 3rd quarter when they scored like 38 pts?!
I still don't understand why RA put Evans into the game 4 mins before the end when we still had some chance? He missed 2 jump shots and one FT and after that they killed us.
Good thing is that we had a lot of rebs(Peja 7! :D ) and I hope that this guys will play much better in next game!
I STILL BELIEVE!

Here it is, the official VF21 theory about the Kings:

They are a team in search of an identity AND a style. When they get it right, as they did for part of the game against Cleveland, it's magical BUT they don't have a good handle on it yet. When they don't get it or lose their grip on it like they did today, it gets ugly...

This team just isn't consistent enough. Sigh. Can't wait till offseason, and some major retooling.
exactly. that's why i hate it when people are like "oh, the team is starting to gel". we have one good game, then we have a bad one. that's how it's been since the webber trade and that's how it's going to be for the rest of the season. of course, we can never beat minnesota anyway. they've had our number for the past two seasons.

hey does anybody know what bibby was from the field today, cause i thought i heard him and mobley were 3 for 36 or something, idk. just wondering if anybody knows.

Agreed. I hope the coaching staff can figure out a way to correct this.

The team IS starting to gel, at least with the players out there right now. The problem IMHO is that people mistake "starting to gel" for much more than in it.

As you say, it's going to be this way for the rest of the season and into the playoffs. Hopefully, having Bobby and Brad back might make a difference but we'll be trying to integrate one player who's been out most of the year AND one who hasn't played with any of the new guys into the mix.
