WTF/JT moment of the game

Really what pissed me off the most was the team yelling for Reke to get that last board.

I dont know what Casspi is trying to prove by jumping in front of his teamate to get a rebound.

He may not have known he was there. That's really hte best/hopefully explanation. jsut didn't see him, and nabbed it.

Anything intentional in that situation would be a little shaky chemsitry wise. A mistake, not knowing Reke was around, not knowing the situation, that's all fine. Too bad, but fine.

Wow, this hating on Omri here is amazing. I personally have been very critical of his play lately and supported PW in his decision to cut down his minutes. But some people here, instead of being happy that Omri (reminder: he is a Kings' player...) is showing some signs of bouncing back and being aggressive, and going for rebounds, are whining about him "stealing" a rebound from Tyreke? He was in position to get that rebound. It is against any player's instincts to move out of the way and let anyone else get that a rebound that they are in position for (and that's how it should be). Making Omri the scapegoat for Tyreke not getting the triple double is pathetic. If this triple double is so crucial to the future of the franchise like some people try to paint it, why did PW take Tyreke out when there was 6 full minutes left in the game?

That's exactly what i was thinking. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Because Westphal believes in an "authentic" triple double rather than a "pathetic" one. But, with the amount of press and hype Curry has been getting, with him being ranked as #1 on some of the lists by writers who most likely will be voters, he probably should have let him get it. Curry is stat padding CONSTANTLY. Just playing in Nellie's system itself is stat padding. Not to mention the false assists being awarded to him at home as well as him playing late game when the Warriors are getting destroyed.

Dude, you´ve said exactly what i also think...
He is playing quite unlucky right now-but instead of supporting him some people are treating him like a second Noc..

I loved the way how Donte played today!

Cisco knew on the play right before it, he and Reke both went up, Cisco backed off. Regardless of stat padding, that's just being a good teammate when your teammate is going for something memorable.

Omri either made an error, possibly just lacking saavy/experience/awareness, which is just too bad. Or he wasn't going to stand down, which would be a problem. Discourtesy really. No different particularly than if late in a game Omri were open on the break 1pt from his career high and Reke looked him off to take it in himself. We score either way, but that's not being a very good teammate.

So hopefully it was just a mistake and they will be teasing him about it for the next few days, rather than it being him intentionally being a bit of a punk about it for whatever reason.

Who cares? We won the game thats it! Nothing else should matter..

If it becomes the Sacramento Tyrekes, all the good fans will bail. Please don't go down that road.

Ah yes, I've noticed that. No good fans at all follow those superstar laden championship contending type teams. All the good fans prefer those much more exciting teamwork first lottery teams without star players for like the purity and stuff.

It looked to me like Casspi didn't see Reke so not bothered about that, would of been nice to say second triple double though.

Really dissapointed we GAVE the Wolves 39 4th Q points.

No, not really. Realistically winning this game actually may not matter as much as winning that ROY award might. Its not about Reke personally -- in fact losing the award might well pee him off and drive him to new heights, who knows. But as a franchise, Sacrmento is really down in the dumps. Getting support for an arena problems. Having problems drawing fans. Nearly locked out of the national scene/national TV. It absolutely 100% NEEDS that award and the attention it brings with it to get some recognition, get some national TV dates, and bring back fans. One piddly little win over a nothing team in a lottery year doesn't have nearly that effect.

So it really is a potentially significant little moment. I can guarantee you this: Nellie would have played Curry to the final buzzer to get that rebound. Which is trash BTW, but its gone on this season. And when that's what you are competing with, you have to capitalize on your opportunities when you can.

Just got back from the game.....Tyreke was simply incredible yet again....

20 years old......5 years from now, he may be one of the greatest ever....

Donte Greene put on a show...GREAT team defense ALL night....Hawes owned the paint defensively....Just an overall amazing game to witness in person.

Granted it was the terrible Timberwolves....but it was still fun....

Ty...Reke...Freaking...Evans!

lmao guys you're overacting much - Tyreke got the ROY award on lock already. Nothing can prevent him from taking it.

I care. There are a lot of things I watch Kings basketball for. Winning hopefully will be the main reason some day. But for now, there are many things I enjoy instead. If winning was the only consideration, hell, I'd be a Lakers fan like the rest of the lemmings. :p:cool:

This is the NBA , this is the Kings, there is a giant hype machine in GS that is getting all the press right now, the press is from the same guys that will vote for the ROY....

He will have plenty of them in the future-and be sure that casspi will from now on will look before grabbing any rebound if Reke is around.

Who cares about the Casspi rebound?????

Would you rather him not did anything and NOBODY grab the board???

He didn't get a triple-double....ITS 2012 OMG!!!

Look at Reke´s stats. He is leading this team and played a great and consistant season-it is for me also a sealed deal that he will get the ROY award..

If you've followed the Kings for long you realize there is no such thing as a sealed deal in Sacramento. :(

Seriously, people need to stop whining. Bottom line, I think PW knows what's good for this franchise better than anyone on this board. If the future of this franchise depended on Reke's triple double, PW would've kept him on the floor.

What people SHOULD be concerned about is that the Kings stopped playing basketball in the fourth quarter because they were all so concerned about Reke's stats. The Kings should've won this game by 40, not 14.

We'd have been on the same page if it was against the Lakers.

Fixed.

Reke is our best bet at winning. I realize that this is a completely different style of play from the "glory days" but this is most likely the way we're going to be relevant once again.

I know its hard to let go of the glory days but sometimes its best to move on and enjoy the new journey.
