:(:( I have to get four of my wisdom teeth out tommorow, I geuss they have to put me under, I've never had surgey before, has anyone here ever had there wisdom teeth out?

Yes, I had the extreme version of it! I had four, and they were all impacted. Of course it was surgery under anesthetic for that one. It took me about four days to recover, two before I could get out of bed. But the painkillers were wonderful :)
Depending on the severity of it, your face will be puffy and swollen for about a week, it will gradually go down as you heal.

i dread the day i get mine out. i'm about 3 years over from the first time my dentist told me to get them out.

and mine are also impacted.

I waited too long and as a result, my lower impacted wisdom teeth started pushing into my regular teeth, so now my lower bite is slightly crooked. But they had never started hurting much until then, so I didn't think there was a problem.

I just found my first wisdom tooth has broken the skin. Seems a little late, I'm 24. Can it grow in with out problems? Or should I have it removed immediately? It doesn't hurt at all.

I had all 4 of mine out last summer. Aside from some swelling (which made me look like a blowfish for half a week), the pain was tolerable and I was able to eat solid food the day after extraction. The severity of the pain/swelling is supposed to vary from person to person though. Just do everything they say to do during recovery time and you should be okay.

Well, mine didn't hurt either but they needed to go out anyway. Two of them weren't even impacted. Wisdom teeth can cause all sorts of problems such as cysts, the teeth growing into the jawbone, infections that are extremely difficult to get rid of, etc. I suggest you get them checked ASAP. Sooner they're out, the better.

I was in the almost exact same position as you. All four were impacted, and they had crouded my lower teeth a little bit.

But mine came out like charm. I bled like crap for about half a day, and then nothing. No swelling no pain

(except about a week later when I'd completely forgotten about 'em and chugged a cold frosty one, THAT HURT! but it was my own stupid fault. I can guarantee that that only happened ONCE :D )

I had all four taken out when I was in college and they just pulled them. I was at a frat party that night and never had any problems.

Wow-you must be a medical anomaly. And this was after internal surgery? I don't remember any sensitivity to cold after it healed, but I sure did hate those stitches hanging down in my mouth like little cords.

i go for a consultation on my wisdom tooth on feb 14th, mine hurts like heck, i had 1 removed and not the other, i wish that i would have done them all at once, but now im out the door to go get antibiotics for the same tooth, that since then has abcessed, i cant wait to get this thing pulled, and i went under, its the only way to do it, u wake up and its all over i will never do it another way. good luck

Surgery went good, having bleeding problems though, my mouth has been bleeding for two hours, was alot less painful then I thought it would be, the Anesthetic made the surgery seem instant, and the Tylenol 3's are doing great for the pain.

...and having to squirt salt water into the hole in you gums where the wisdom teeth used to be.

I had mine out at different times OR. One time I wasn't as diligent about the salt water gargling. Got infected and they had to clean it out. Now that HURT! So do exaclty what they tell you and you should be fine. As an aside I took my son and drove him home after. He was quite out of it coming out of the anesthesia. I had to laugh when he told the dental assistant that was some gooooood sh*t. Later he didn't remember that at all.:D Hope you're recovering nicely.:)

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. I still have all mine, without problems and I'm 42.

It will hurt later, just warning you. Hope you have ice packs ready.

It seems that one of the stitches came loose on one of the holes in my mouth, i can actually see the hole opening, do you guys think i should see the doc again or let it fill in or what?

I had 4 out about 6 months ago, the dentist told me to just take 1 out a time, but i asked for all four, and after the shots i couldnt feel a thing, but your right, i bled alot, maybe a until the next morning, i lived on Mash Potatoes for a week.
