Seriously? 59-59?

They've played 10 hours, including over 7 hours today when the previous longest match was about 6 and a half hours. The match is so long it's been suspended due to darkness twice so far.

There's been enough games in the fifth set alone to equal two separate five set matches. I noticed this after watching the USA in the World Cup this morning before leaving for work and it was tied in the 20s. Since then they've played enough to equal an entire match all on their own.

I'm guessing it ends quickly tomorrow, but they went all day today without a break so maybe not.

That is completely ridiculous.

I mean that is like Wilt scoring 100pts ridiculous. Its never been seen before and will never be seen again. Not even remotely.

Its also vaguely pathetic -- after watching a guy's serve for oh 50 games or so, at some point you should be able to start timing it. And those serves shoudl be slowing down too.

Hell, just guess the location every time. Simple mathematics says you should be able to guess right four times in a row at least once in 50 tries. :)

Isner won 70-68

two great servers and pathetic returners played against each other but come one !

I love tennis, I play it 4 times a week but I would NEVER watch a match that lasts over 11 hrs.

I was interested in the spectacle and followed it online, but I only watched about five minutes of it total. Luckily, that five minutes included the final game.

Mahut looked devastated, which I guess makes sense but at that point you have to know somebody is going to lose and you probably won't make it far in the tournament anyway.
