Willie Cauley-Stein

WCS belongs in the starting lineup. He really COMPLETES the King's lineup with his defense and shotblocking. His effect on the game doesn't show up in stats, though he did have some good stats tonight.

He's savage.

I wanted him, Winslow, or Johnson last draft....

...methinks Vlade made the right choice.

Feels good to FINALLY get a pick right.

It has been a while since we had a player that made playing defense look this exciting. His energy level infected the entire team from the get-go. So glad Vlade picked him up!

You can say that again. WCS was actually the only player I wanted in the whole draft. I didn't even dream that the answer will come this fast. He's going to be the new Drummond, but I think his ceiling is higher.

Easily the biggest gangster on the Kings roster has the cold blooded look and plays with unlimited fire. Maybe for the first time in the last 10 years the best thing for WCS was coming to Sac-Town since he plays against Cousins everyday and you could tell on a number of his moves when he was scoring in the 4th were Cousins like and he won't even face anyone harder to defend so it's easy money.

Protect him from the fire....he stomps fires out with bare feet. Kings got a new cult hero.

WCS was awesome tonight. Exactly why I and many others here wanted us to draft him.

The amount of shots he altered tonight won't show up in the box score but had a big impact. Guys didn't even want to go into the lane while he was on the court.

The offense was just gravy.

i hope the young man can play like this every night it will be a welcome sight and a game changer for our franchise. I am curbing my expectations though because I don't think this will be the norm. If it is the norm the 8th playoff spot will be low balling.

That's the real beauty of WCS. The numbers were obviously great tonight, but the most important thing he can do for us (this season at least) is change shots at the rim. He's going to be someone we want to look at (+/-) stats in depth down the line this season

Can't get too pumped, because the Lakers will likely be challenging the Sixers for the worst record in the league, but it's absolutely a promising start. The point and efficiency obviously won't be there every night, but the rebounding, defense and energy were all things I can see him replicating on a nightly basis.

You all should have heard the Lakers pregame (live in OC now), talk about WCS. Basically, how we "reached" on him because he doesn't have an offensive game. That he was a good defensive player, but someone with his physical attributes should at least have one post move.

Karl was right to give WCS his debut in game 2 instead of in the opener. It was so great for him to get his confidence up like that. Now it will be very interesting to see how he does in the Clippers rematch!

I was on board with this draft pick from the jump. Particularly if Rondo performs, nobody will be saying we should have taken Mudiay, even if Mudiay does well.

Willis was a great P&R player at Kentucky, both offensively and defensively. Rondo will be his new best friend on offense.
