why not dalembert at C and DC at PF

seems like cuz has the skills of a PF why not start Dally at Center and cuz at PF? dalembert can defened their best big man. A starting front line of Cousins/Dally/Casspi looks solid and who knows maybe Cousins Dally Granger would be even better! for some reason i jus dont like thompson starting hes not consistent enough but seems perfect energy rebounder/scorer off the bench

I agree 100% with you... seems to me that PW is considering Cousins as C, so I don't think your idea is going to happen any time soon.

Unless Cousins drops 30 pounds, I doubt that we will see him at the 4 on a consistent basis. He (and Sammy D) would be dominated by the stretch 4s (Al Harrington, Jeff Green, etc.) that are becoming increasingly prevalent in the modern game.

A line-up with Sammy D and Cousins together at the same time would work in spurts but as a consistent strategy, it would most likely fall short.

Al Harrington doesn't even start for his own team. I don't think we should be dictating our strategy around other teams' bench players.

I think it's a fair lineup but one that should only be used when the matchups allow for it. At this point you do not want Cousins guarding quicker athletic guys like Jeff Green, Josh Smith, LeMarcus Aldridge, Nene, Amare, David West, Lamar Odom, Rashard Lewis/Hedo, BLAKE GRIFFIN****** etc because they'll blow past him (some of them are natural 3s but played at the 4 fairly often), and you can't make him the primary defender on vets like Garnett, Dirk, Duncan for now because he'll just into foul trouble.

I wonder if the frontline would work with demarcus at the 5 guarding 5's and Dally guarding 4's. We don't have Nathaniel on the schedule anymore and Dirk hangs around the 3 point line a lot less than usual these days its worth a shot. I think rose two would do a lot of good out there together for extended periods of time...

cousins doesnt have to guar the other teams PF, dalembert can do that like he did against Amare and Aldrige, who are both PF's. Let cousins defend the other teams centers. But on offense he can be the PF becuase he has all the skills, and offensive quickness believe it or not, and a nice shooting touch, a nice high low game, and some power post moves

Who the hell is Nathaniel?

I agree with you 100% OP.

Zach Randolph is a fatty who can't defend, yet he regularly punishes teams as the starting PF. Furthermore, Cousins doesn't really have the height or the lift to man the center position or anchor a defense.

Jason Thompson and Carl Landry are both bench players as well, so there's just no excuse.

Been wanting to see it since day one. I don't care if we need size off the bench, or whatever excuse it is. I still want to see this lineup dang it!!

PG: Evans
SG: Garcia
SF: Casspi
PF: Dalembert
C: Cousins

That is the absolute BEST lineup this team can put on the floor and most complimentary to Reke and Cuz. It would also help with Beno and Tyreke getting wiped out by screens because that team could switch the pick and roll better than just about any other team out there. Depth be damned, that is a team that makes sense.

Don't know if you checked out those games, but Cousins did a decent job on both. Pretty much shut down Smith on a few occasions. Daly can guard any of those guys much better than Thompson or Landry.

Hahahaha yo this damn phone does auto correction of wordsI meant Andrea Bargani I dontt know how the hell it came up with Nathaniel hahahaha.

ROFL Andrea Nathaniel Bargnani. But seriously guys, Cousins or even Dalembert isn't going to be able to defend Blake Griffin effectively. Maybe this season, but if you're talking about any significant time in the future it's not going to work. Doing a "decent job" would be holding him to 25 points.

Well, Dalembert did just fine against Aldridge, so maybe we could put him against some of these guys, and Cousins against the centers.

Dalembert defended Griffith quite effectively actually.

Anybody who wants to go toward the hoop is going to have his hands full with Dalembert. Its the jumpshooters that can neutralize all that length.

I'm not sure why everyone wants to put Cousins at PF instead of Dally. Dally has actually done very well guarding power forwards this season (Amare, Aldridge, Griffin, probably more) and he has the ability to play very well against non-perimeter oriented power forwards. Cousins is not, nor will ever be, a power forward as a 6'11 270 brute.

make them interchangable, the main point here really is to be playing them together which i think we should be seeing more of.

That lineup makes me cry, because it has so much potential and I know we'll never see it. At least not as a starting lineup that gets a major chunk of minutes.

As a sidebar, this lineup would make JT infinitely more valuable because of his flexibility at either the 4 or 5. Whichever of the two is more foul prone that night, he can swap in for without much of a hitch, at least defensively. With Landry, you know you're sacrificing that PF spot on defense. I just wish JT would take those elbow jumpers more, especially when coming off a pick and roll. I don't see enough of it, and until he magically finds the touch that he (still!) utterly lacks down low, he needs to think about taking some more Js to spread the floor for the guards.
