Bryant, Nash, McGrady, Bibby, Allen, Cassell???
why are you filling one out 2 weeks into the season????
I know it's basically just a popularity contest
The All Star game is to basket ball what the Oscars are to the film industry...
I know it's basically just a popularity contest but the questions I have are why are all star ballots out 2 weeks into the season and why are you filling one out 2 weeks into the season????
this might just spark kevin some more to really shine....
when you do all this, remember to keep putting biby on the ballot too. i know at this point in the season (which is barely anything), bibby hasnt played like an all star, but i would much rather have him there in vegas than kevin martin.
I just filled in my first all-star ballot for the year and Kevin Martin is not listed; what is going on? I added him as a write in, but what does the guy have to do to get some respect from the league?
At this point, it's all just names.
Have any of those players really outshined Kevin this year or are they just more well-known and popular? (REMEMBER THE KEY IS "THIS YEAR")
Right now, and that's only 6 games in so it doesn't mean anything really, KMoney is averaging close to 24 and 5 (while shooting almost 55%). That's worthy of being mentioned in any of the crowd above.
Again, the stats don't mean anything this early, but if you had to pick someone based on performance at this point in the season - KMoney is a fair choice. The only players that have performed betteror on an equal level are Allen, Bryant and Nash.
My first ballot:
West Forwards: Tim Duncan, Zach Randolph
West Guards: Baron Davis, Steve Nash
West Center: Yao Ming
East Forwards: Lebron James, Paul Pierce
East Guards: Joe Johnson, Dwayne Wade
East Center: Dwight Howard
Write In: Kevin Martin, although I think his current 20+ppg will eventually lower to around 17-18ppg.
Look at these names they decide to include and not Kev Martin:
Sam Cassell - Back up PG for the Clippers...Where's Livingston?
Well, based on his shots per game, he's the fourth option. And, seeing as how he starts and Barbosa doesn't, that actually would most likely make him the third option "when he's on the floor."Look at these names they decide to include and not Kev Martin:
Raja Bell - 5th Option on the team when he's on the floor...
Cassell has started every game he's played for the Clippers this season except for one.Sam Cassell - Back up PG for the Clippers...Where's Livingston?
Juan Dixon - Maybe one of the top 5 worst guards in the league
You're not very astute, are you? One of the top 5 worst starting PGs in the league? 15.8 points and 6.5 assists? 51% from the field, 50% from three, 95% from the line? 11 and 6.5 over his last three years, close to 10 and 5 for his career and rising... that's bottom 5 in the whole league? Are you chemically imbalanced?Luke Ridnour - Right there with Juan Dixon, but one of the top 5 worst starting PGs in the league, Eric Snow holding #1.

Use hyperbole much? One of the five worst guards in the League? In the League? There may be five worse guards on the Portland Trailblazers!
