Who's the Kings starting SG in 05'-06'?

Nobody has tossed away next season. There is always hope but its idiotic to think that the Kings can contend for the title next year with the style or play and the players/bench they have. It can not be done. We can not beat SA at their best or Pheonix, Dallas, Detroit, Miami, etc. Its being realistic. We are all fans and want to go out and win every game and cheer for out team but we arent going to sit here and say, "Wow, we can really win it all this year". Set realistic goals. Develop Garcia, work on defense and rebounding, set a goal for wins, etc.

Well here is the thing. After tonight I doubt even more that this team will look anything like it did last season, not just personel wise. They will perform MUCH better. I don't see too much roster turnover, maybe a guy here and there, and possibly a starting big to go along with Brad Miller.

First of all, when did I ever say they were going to contend for a championship? I hope they do, but where does hope get you. I simply asked why watch if you don't think your team can contend. As of now, we don't even have a full roster. Again, if you think this is going to be next years lineup you are probably wrong (I hope). Petrie has a long time to make moves and show us our starting line up.

And the majority of them who are FA will re sign IMO. SA will definitly stay together and so will Detroit, Pheonix and Miami. Im not completely sure about Dallas but I think they just need a little better defense and Pheonix still hasnt learned that Offense doesnt win championships. It took us a while and we still havent changed.

We could beat these teams if we added certain people but with our current lineup we wouldnt beat any of those teams in a 7 game series which is all that matters.

I think some people here aren't giving the kings enough credit, some are giving too much, and some have the right idea. be hopeful, watch the games, hope they do well, and be happy with however the team does, even if its horrible, because then we wil have a good draft pick . lol. but i doubt they will do taht badly. i see us at least in the playoffs, but who knows in which seed and playing who.

i also do not think there will be as much roster turnover as everyone things. another big guy would be nice, and keeping mo/darius would be awesome.

I'm voting for Garcia, he's gotta be the guy. Martin is still too young, Evans doesn't have the shooting range and ballhandling. A lineup with Peja and Evans starting would really struggle trying to beat a pressing/trapping defense and make the aggressive pass/dribble moves.

Garcia and Martin are both the same age, and neither is particularly young by modern NBA standards (23). More old style NBA draft picks where they are mostly developed already.

Shouldn't fans work on other things like heckling the opposing team, eating hotdogs with out spilling ketchup, drinking beer and not spilling, making halfcourt shots at halftime, dancing with Slamson etc. I don't think my defense needs any work.

Ill change the wording for you just incase. As fans those are the goals we want the team to set, not goals of winning a championship this comming year. That is a longterm goal but for the '05-06 Goals' winning a championship can not be on there. Sure if they win it and somehow have a killer season and win it then that is awsome but setting and unrealistic goal for the time being isnt right.

Im not saying what can and cant be a goal for next season. Im not the coach or a player. Im just saying that I dont THINK it should be and that its wrong if they believe they have a shot at SA in a 7 game series. You cant make up an argument for that unless its hoping or believing in a miracle or that our offense is so good that somehow no defense can stop it. Bricklayer said this was a bad pick for our new philosophy that GP said we needed but SINCE he hasnt changed anything yet and done what he said was needed that Garcia was a good pick for our current offensive system.

Like I said, the team knows what wins championships and they know we dont play defense thats why they said changes were needed. These changes havent been made and may not be made for next season and that could be a reason why we picked Garcia.

How did this cloud anything? You dont think we can win it all but your goal is that we do win it all next season. I never attempted to clear anything up. Thats up to you to do if you want someone to understand. I guess my main question for you is, Why set a goal that you dont really believe can be accomplished next season with the current lineup?

Now if we pick up KG and add a lot of pieces then things will obviously change but we are talking about right now, with this lineup and im talking about this core of guys. It doesnt matter if we have enough players right now because Adelman doesnt use his bench like he should anyways and its these starters that will win it for us, not our bench.

It seems you dont think you are setting unrealistic goals so tell me what a better title for you would be.
