BK_KingsFan said:I would love for the Kings to draft Joey Graham. Some mock drafts have him as a late first round pick so I think we have a good chance at him. I really hope Petrie is aware of this guy cuz I think he would really help us alot. He kind of reminds me of a young Corliss Williamson. And he plays defense too.
Heres a scouting report on him- http://www.draftcity.com/viewprofile.php?p=88
Diabeticwonder said:Of course Petrie is "aware of this guy" as well as being aware of about 1,000 other guys that you and I have never heard of. I used to worry about the draft, but with Petrie at the helm I don't worry about it at all anymore, even if he ends up picking someone who I have never heard of in my life.
Bricklayer said:It is simply impossible to tell, and the mock draftists have no shot at figuring it out either, because I can only assume the pick is going to depend on what our overall offseason plan is. With almost anybody possibly on the move depending on how Petrie decides to approach it, things are wide open with that pick. Just please don't let it be another undersized forward.
Totally agree. Who knows what tentative plans Petrie has regarding possible trades or free agent availability. And Geoff must be great at poker, because I don't think there's a another GM around who plays his cards so close to the vest.Bricklayer said:It is simply impossible to tell, and the mock draftists have no shot at figuring it out either, because I can only assume the pick is going to depend on what our overall offseason plan is.

I would prefer getting a wing/swing player who can play defense or a point guard. We have Corliss/Thomas/Skinner/Miller/Songaila and Tag that share the minutes at the 4/5 position. Not sure what that another power forward who doesn't bring anything that we don't already have helps.

Beno Udrih was picked up last year at the end of the first round as well and he looks pretty good.
