I wouldn't mind seeing Erick Dampier in a Kings uniform.

The guy averages 8 rpg in just 24 minutes. And he's a pretty good defender too. He averages 1.30 bpg. Thats not bad in his limited minutes. Plus he's pretty big too at 6'11.
Avery has done a great job getting him to produce off of the bench but his contract is huge. Petrie and the Maloofs aren't going to want to spend that much money for a bench player.

bench player? He would be starting in Sacramento. He fixes almost every problem we have in the starting PF spot.

Only things I don't like about Dampier is little to no passion/intensity, and his crazy contract. Don't think the Mavs would give him up, but ultimately, I wouldn't mind getting him.

He automatically fixes all our problems, huh? Are you looking at his numbers or have you actually seen him play? My money is on the first one.

Erik Dampier has a lot of tools that the Kings could use but he's definately not a starter on this team unless Brad comes off the bench. Just because he's a shot blocker, it doesn't make him a great match for Miller by default. They're both slow footed and Dampier lacks intensity.

He's putting up similar numbers in 25 minutes that he was puting up in 35 minutes. That rediculous! And it only shows me that he's in it for the money and not the game, despite his God-given talent.

I seen him play in GS and Dallas. The guy is a beast when it comes to rebounding. And he's not soft either. He's a little cocky but thats what the team needs. Plus if we get him then you can move Brad to the PF spot.

Im not saying Dampier is our only choice but if we can't get nothing then I would take Dampier in a second. The guy already averages more rebounds then Brad does off the bench.

Spot on assessment, IMHO.

I like Kenny Thomas, but with Brad at his side I don't think we have that interior presence we need to finish off what could be a great defensive team. We ain't getting rid of Brad unless KG is coming back in a trade so you know the deal.

We just need more size no questions about that. I am interested to see how the team does in the 1st round this year, because we are going up against one of the deepest and biggest fronlines in the leauge. If Kenny/Reef/Brad really step it up, I could see us keeping all of them and adding something to that unit too though.

I say just as much as everyone else, we need an interior presence on D. Bring us Emeka Okafor! Now Petrie!

How? The bobcats aren't trading him and even if they were all our guys are vets and stuff. What can we offer them?

I have a feeling Brad may be traded: JUST A FEELING. NOTHING TO SUPPORT IT.

I know we need to be tougher up front, but I am not so sure trading him would be a good thing.

Brad is becoming one of those players who are valuable not because of one particular skill but because of their accumulation of talents. I don't see us trading him unless it's for someone really spectacular... And I don't think we'd trade him away while we're stuck with the KT/SAR tag team at the 4.

Woah woah woah! Hold up here... my best friend is a hard core mav's fan. and I have seen the mavs live many times... and Damp is garbage! seriously... ask any mav's fan what they think of Damp and they will tell you he is horrible. I would hate to have him.,.. he is foul prone, and he doesnt provide any offense... plus his contract is more of a burden than KT's..

Anyone on this team is tradable including Brad and Mike bibby. Personally I think KT needs to go. We need a better PF that can block shots/rebound. He does not play up to his full performance off the bench so there's no need to keep him.

Just went by what Petrie has said about him last summer and in the pre-season.

No, it won't be a swingman, would be surprised if we do draft one. I really think it'll be a PF/C, and just don't know about a PG/CG. Unless Randy Foye somehow is available.
One thing I have learned about Petrie over the years is... don't believe a word he says about personnel moves.
