I know we've already got a Lakers-Celtics thread going but there seem to be some pretty good opinions about who will win tonight. So, because it's TDOS, I thought we might as well see who stands where.
Lakers should win this one, they'll come out with a little more energy and should get some nice home cookin' tonight. I suspect it will wear off by the end of the home stand, but this is must win and I expect they will play like it plus get the intangibles tonight.
ALL the pressure tonight is on the Lakers and I quite frankly don't think they're up to it. As the going gets tougher, the combined experience of the Celtic players is going to become more and more important. If they are going to get a win at home, it almost has to be tonight. I picked the Celtics because I just don't think this Laker team has the internal fortitude to battle it out.
And on a related note? I had no idea Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom were so soft.
I really thought Odom would step up but he hasn't. He reminds me - build-wise - of Karl Malone but it sure ends there. As far as Gasol is concerned, I guess I just never really noticed.
Gasol has been one of the softest players in the league the past 6 or 7 years. Odom played with some grit in his couple Miami seasons, but since then...well you've seen it I'm sure.

I think the Lakers saw that there are areas to exploit in the end of Game 2 (if everything you throw up goes in). The Celtics got complacent and it almost bit them. But I think the Lakers will be desperate and get this one. If they don't it is over. But I hope that if it goes back to Boston the Celtics still have the series lead.
The Lakers are a good team. They won't roll over because they are 0-2.
And yeah, Pau and Lamar are soft. Nothing new there.
Celtics have had a tough time winning in the playoffs on the road... I think the Lakers take this one, but I'm betting the Celtics will win either game 4 or 5 in LA.
J crawford seems to be the ref, lakers win this one. Game will be close in the sense that there will not be a lead of 20 or so, it will be 5-10 point lead for lakers and they will hold on to win.
i predict the lakers will take this one. the refs will be giving them the home court edge. however, if the celtics pull this one out. it's going to be a fun time fishing for kobe and company in the offseason.
