Who is the most valuable player to the Kings future not named Evans or Cousins?

I have to go with Casspi.

I'd pick Casspi also but you could make a case for Dalembert just because of the huge salary that will go off the books and afford the King's an impact player.

I would say Casspi or Greene if he gets his act together. He has all the tools just hasn't grown up yet.

He has an extra NBA season over Casspi, so by now he should have already taken over the SF spot. As it is, shooting percentage alone gives Casspi the edge over Donte:

FG% 0.415 vs. 0.376
FT% 0.732 vs. 0.517
3P% 0.407 vs. 0.296

Obviously it's way too early to tell, but I imagine it's between four guys - Casspi, Greene, Thompson, and Whiteside. I imagine that if we have a contending team in 2-3 years, it will consist of:

Guard rotation: Evans, A*, B*
Wing rotation: A*, Casspi/Greene, B*
Post rotation: Cousins, Thompson/Whiteside/A*, Thompson/Whiteside/B*

Here the A* players are starting-level players and the B* players are bench-level players
I see us getting 2-3 A* level players: One from our #1 pick in 2011, one through free agency in 2011, and possibly one through trade.
The remainder of the lineup would probably be filled with B* players - one will probably come of our 2012 first round pick, and the others could be free agency/trade/current players (Beno, Garcia?)

I imagine that one of Greene/Casspi will be traded eventually, and possibly one of Thompson/Whiteside. In combo, they might fetch an A* player, by themselves, probably a B* player.

Just a guess.

Gatta go with Casspi. Yeah, Greene, coulda, shoulda, woulda, but hasn't. There are doer's and there are dreamers. I'm going with the doer. Its all mental between the two of them at this point. Greene hopes he'll become a starter. He hopes he'll be an all star one day. Casspi expects it. Maybe Greene will get there one day..

They are the same age. It's not like Omri was doing nothing before the NBA. He has been playing professionally since he was 17. So in reality he has more experience than Donte.

I like Donte a lot, but have to go with Casspi. There's a fire in Casspi that just doesn't seem to be in Donte's make-up.

Today while watching a replay of parts of last night's game I thought I noticed a Greene "waddle" while he was running up court. If he has one it may be part of his problem this year.

Looking at that list it is no wonder we are at the bottom of the league, we need so much more talent. Casspi of course...Green is just horrendous.

I would have said Green at the start of the season, but Casspi's performance has been more consistent. Casspi gets my vote.

I'm not sure of the consistent thing -- a week ago half the board would have voted a different way.

I think we need to ban the word "consistent" entirely from use regarding this Kings team. The only thing any of them have been is consistently inconcistent, and that includes the coach.

You can't expect consistency from a board full of fans of a team that is the dictionary definition of inconsistency.

This vote can change weekly, end of the season I might be willing to give a more final answer. In the end it would center around the #3 or #4 spot and I see a bigger need at the 3 so for this week's answer it will be Casspi but it could be Greene again next week.
