Who is Rodney Price!?

ESPN 2's First Take (formerly Cold Pizza) highlighted the Top Five Dunks of the NBA's 2006-7 season. I couldn't argue with their top dunks. LeBron James dunking on Duncan was number three - the same dunk that James has posted in his locker. Baron Davis' facial on the Jazz was number two - the one that had the post dunk theatrics of Stephen Jackson brushing Davis' shoulderes off! Number one was none other than the Kings - RODNEY PRICE! YES, R-O-D-N-E-Y Price! ESPN 2's fact checkers earn an F on that one!

(Getty Images) 007 can flat out sky.

Just when the Kings sophomore backup PG is receiving some major props from The Worldwide Leader they bust his name, calling him Rodney rather than, RONNIE. They could have at least called him Ricky, as his teammates call him for his outstanding dance moves! But RODNEY, where did that come from? Anyway, much respect to Price aka 007 for his high-flying posterization of Carlos Boozer back in November. It was undoubtedly the number one dunk of the season, no matter what ESPN 2 calls him. (By the way, there is currently no video of the error. It is worth mentioning they didn't just say his name wrong, they actually had the graphic on the screen with his name spelled Rodney.)

The media today is so diluted with inexperienced, low-wage people that mistakes are inevitable. This one is a real duh-duh.

Ol' what's his name
ESPN2 recently changed its morning show's name from "Cold Pizza" to "First Take" and moved its site from New York City to Bristol, Conn.
Monday morning, however, the show identified Kings guard Ronnie Price's early-season dunk against the Utah Jazz as the best of the season. Unfortunately, Price's first name was spelled "Rodney" in graphics and pronounced the same way by former News10 sportscaster Dana Jacobson.

The above was an item in Marty Mac's Sac Bee column this morning. Shame on Dana Jacobson.

No, the one that identifies SAR as "Jason Hart" is just as pathetic.

;)

I remember that one.. Was horrible for two things.. One for the obvious position/looks/size of the player, and Hart was not even on the Kings anymore when they posted it.
