Who has seen this trade rumor on ESPN?

The only way this could be true is if the Raptors feel strongly that they are gonna lose Bosh to FA in the summer and want to... Actually, wait. This just doesn't make sense. Not at all.

There is no way this has anything behind it. Is Colangelo still GM of the Raptors?

EDIT: It doesn't even seem to appear anywhere on ESPN. Probably just some fan trying to stir something up. Not surprising, there's really no way this could have been a serious rumour!

LOL yah... Even if they lost Bosh to FA this summer I would rather have the $$ than Nocioni, and Sergio. So they are taking on Salary at the expense of losing Bosh this summer? No way this is true. Not even as a cost cutting measure.

If that's all it takes to get Bosh, that would be an insane bargain.

We would have the offensive firepower to destroy just about any one in the league and all we would give up are our two most frustratingly stupid players, K9, and Armstrong. Meanwhile, Toronto would complete its goal of becoming a European team as their line-up would turn into

Bargnani/Nesterovich/O'Bryant
Hedo/Evans/K9/Armstrong
Noce/Wright
Derozan
Calderon/Sergio/Jack

MEanwhile we would become

Hawes/JT/Fatdude
Bosh/JT/Brockman
Casspi/Greene
Martin/Garcia/Udoka
Evans/Beno/Garcia

Easily one of the best offensive teams in the league if not the best.

Evans
Martin
Casspi
Bosh
JT

Udrih
Garcia
Greene
Brockman
Hawes

It's perfect! It's absolute offensive perfection! I would die from the palpitations :D

We would be the first team in history to average 200 points a game. (Unfortunately, there's a good chance that the other team would score 150...in the paint)

You would really die when you realized that there is only one ball and so everybody would be 5-8 points off their offensive potential, and meanwhile we would get scored on every time down the floor. The Raptors are showing just how wonderfully well that can work.

In any case this "rumor" is as dumb as that thing the Orlando fan posted on here for Martin/Hawes/JT for their own garbage. Somebody should run off and post this on a Raptors board so they can laugh at us the same way.

Unfortunately, all the Raptors fans are either A. Watching hockey or B.Invisible.

I know it's a dumb rumor; if it went down, Their GM would be chased out of Canada by the mounties. I figured we needed some excitement. It got me all stupid for a second.

Huh? Why on Earth would Toronto do this? Take our bad contracts for the privilege of giving us their best player? We're not the Lakers.

Exactly. But IF Bosh is on the market, get him.

Eh, I think an 'extended' Bosh to Sacto COULD happen if he goes on the market..

Thompson
Thomas
Garcia
Greene
2010 lotto protected pick -> 2011 top 10 protected ->2012 top 3 protected -> 2013 unprotected pick

for

Bosh(extended)
Banks
Weems
and
Wright(absorbed via cap space)

New roster:

C: Hawes, Armstrong
PF: Bosh, Brockman, May
SF: Casspi, Nocioni, Udoka
SG: Martin, Wright, Weems
PG: Evans, Beno, Sergio, Banks

I think that rosters' good enough to compete.

No way I'm giving up all that for Bosh.

If he were extended and we kept our backcourt intact I woul.

Bosh #1a option
Evans #1b option
Martin #3 option
Casspi #4 option
Hawes #5 option

That's a SICK starting 5 going forward and each player is in their proper role too. I think that combination of players is a quasi contender next year and a definite contender the following year, and look how young we are.

Giving up all those picks that you suggested would hurt like the dickens. Maybe two picks, this year and next. Ahh... to dream the impossible dream though...

yeah, we'd score 120 a night. The other team would score 135

That's a sick lineup, but not for the reasons you think.

This isn't fantasy basketball. You aren't going to have three 20pt scorers, and if you did, nobody else scores more than about 8. Well except for the other teams that would be threatening 100 by halftime.
