Who goes first?

Okay, we all are beginning to realize that until at least one big name is moved, very few deals will occur before the trade deadline... thus, the Kings are in a holding pattern for trades (hopefully, Geoff) the question is, who will get moved first? Bosh? Marion? Jermaine O'Neal? Amar'e? Personally, I think a Marion trade will be the first and the rest will occur in rapid succession.

I think the domino effect will begin by teams realizing that Amare WONT be moved before the deadline, thus all the other teams will go for the lesser options (i.e. the kings players) in rapid succession. To answer your question directly I think Marion will be the first of those guys traded.

Marion I would say. Or maybe O'Neal. I think it's unlikely Amare goes, and Bosh will be staying in Toronto, at least until July.

quick question: is brad miller really injured or are they holding him out for a pending trade in order to secure his "healthyness"?

did you guys see him get injured?
Look you can search for conspiracy theories as much as you like but the simple fact remains that Kings have nothing to gain by not playing Miller when it comes to potential trades.

Articles are out that he is injured and is missing games due to his hip. No team will trade for an injured Brad Miller. There wouldn't be too many suitors for a healthy version of this season't Miller let alone an injured one.

But I can hear you saying that publicly its being said that he is injured but if team make calls about him the front office tells them they are just sitting him out so he doesn't get injured before the trade deadline.

That would just tell other teams that we are desperate to get rid off him and all that would lead to is more of the low ball offers.

The Kings have absolutly nothing to gain by not playing Brad Miller. IF anything, they have a lot to lose as far as potential trades involving him are concerned.

Well, Marion to the Raptors should break the log jam for trades. As to Brad the only reason IMHO he is not playing is he has a legit injury, minor, but a do-not-play injury none-the-less.

Salmons I think is most likely to go from Kings. I only hope we can get Rodriquez from the Blazers somehow and let he and Beno compete for the PG spot. But Salmons is nearly 20 pts a game too plus our best defender. Rodriquez doesn't come close to that so who becomes the major piece for him.

Hawes is not ready to replace the stats that Brad brings on a daily basis yet. So who fills in for Brad when we trade him? another 5 we get?

Kings need hard core defenders more than anything but not by giving up 20-35 pts a night!!!!

My guess is that Amare goes next (probably to the Bulls)

then Portland will know they are out of the Amare contest and will be open to

Salmons
K Thomas

for

Lafrentz
late 1st

I would rather we ask for Bayless instead of the pick. I would also even be willing to throw in a future second if they want maybe even houstons pick.

me too, but it looks like Lafrentz + Bayless is what they are offering for Amare. No way they view Salmons as being worth Bayless, let alone with an expiring, insurance covered contract + 1.5 years KT.

BUcks are in need for a center and a SG... redd is down for the season and so is bogut... and i think they are in the top something in the east (9> or 8)

so playoffs for them is a possibility.... we can go young with them i said it before that im into joe Alexander's athlethicism and work ethic... maybe we can swing a deal sending salmons to them for him...

before if any one remembers i posted a LONG TIME ago about trading salmons for bargnani? now hes averaging 16ppg 6rpg 1bpg as a starter :D

Hes a good young talent but what does Bargnani do that Hawes can't do ? Now Joe Alexander would be a good choice... I tried this 3 team deal and it looks fair for everyone... add our Houstons 1st to the Bucks to make them bite...

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=al8enw

Why Kings do it:
We get a good young SF talent in Joe Alexander with excellent athleticism and work ethic, I remember his words in the SAC pre-draft training camp it looked like he had a feeling he would become a King. We also get 17M$ in expirings this off-season...

Why Bucks do it:
They lost Redd and Bogut to season ending injuries... adding Brad Miller whos a great passer I'm sure he would fit nicely with Sessions and give them a much needed boost to still fight for a playoff spot this season...and they wouldnt be comitted with salary since Brad expires in 2010...oh and I almost forgot they get our Houstons 1st round pick

Why Portland do it:
They add 2 veteran bigs who take charges and play D (since Oden is always Injured or in Foul Trouble) and finally get Salmons without giving up any of their young talent...

our roster after the moves

B. Udrih / D. Jones(expiring) / B. Brown(expiring) / B. Jackson (expiring)
K. Martin / Q. Douby(expiring)
F. Garcia / J. Alexander / D. Greene
J. Thompson / S. Williams (expiring) / K. Thomas
S. Hawes / R. LaFrentz (expiring)

after this season we have a core of...
PG Beno
SG Martin
SF Garcia, Alexander, Greene (great depth IMO)
PF Thompson
C Hawes
...with lots of cap space and a top 3 pick (hopefully top 1) then I say we trade down and draft Thabeet and a PG

another scenario would be drafting Blake Griffin, make a strong offer for Sessions and sign a veteran defensive C using our MLE... I see a lot of options to rebuild this team, Petrie need to wake up =/

pretty much bucks would be our best option for trades right now....

if we give them salmons and miller plus future first round for joe, gadzuric and a filler our line up would be

Udrih and brown
Martin and Garcia
Alexander and Greene
Thompson and Draft pick
Hawes

if we manage to get a few late round picks i wouldnt mind drafting ty lawson

regarding bargnani... well hawes can do what he can do but im just saying that having that kind of a guy at the 4 and have thompson play a little bit of the SF makes up a big line up...
