take out Miller. He's nothing even close to being a part of the "core" with back to back year playoff performances like this. Wells and Artest cleary should be part of the core since they actually have an goal to get far in the playoffs and win the championship. Miller just plays for the season and tries to get his fancy 4 assists, 15 points, and 7 rebounds but plays pee poor in the post season.

I hate to spoil ones parade, but what about a package of Miller, and a sign/trade Wells and our 1st rounder to Minny for KG? I think Bibby, Artest, KG would be unstopable :)

Bonzi just wants to win, like Ron. The money will come, but this is the playoffs and he's going for the Gold, so to speak.

70 to 4 against Miller as part of the core. This is considering the uncertainty of Bonzi being in a kings uni next season. Interesting....

Given how poorly Bibby has played it's amazing that people have turned Brad into the scapegoat and still want Bibby in the "Core." I'm not defending Brad by any means, he's been terrible on his own, but has anyone noticed that Bibby is shooting 33% from the field and is giving up 20 points on 50% shooting to Parker?

But hey, Bibby hit some big shots four years ago...

Im not really a Bibby fan, but at least hes saved us in games and hes been more consistent than Brad. Albeit, there are other PG's I would rather have instead. But no one is going to mess with Bibbys contract. Hes overpaid. :\

No, what's interesting is that a few people around here actually think the Maloofs are gonna let Bonzi walk. It ain't gonna happen.

With this perfomance, I'm not sure alot of fans even want Miller back. Watchigm Tim Duncan move on brad is a guarenteed basket....
I really hope bonzi is resigned. He is helal good right now. If Bonzi plays like that with that much energy during the regular seasons, it's going to be a 55win season, assuming no injuries.

Agree and disagree....I agree in that everyone, including my neighbors cat wants to see Bonzi back, however it all rests on the shoulder of the Maloofs and how much Bonzi's agent wants them to "show him the money". Im leaving this in the present tense however.

Also, this is an aside question but, if the Maloofs were to ponder using the money freed up by Bonzi's departure, who out there will be available to sign in the FA market? This might be a personnel question, but if anyone could direct me to a thread talking about this, I would be appreciative...:D

There are a couple of threads dealing with this, including the "Bonzi's Stock will Soar" thread.

Check the Personnel Moves forum.

That is also what I had in mind. If the Kings have that combo, they can just use the MLE to get a serviceable center and the expiring contracts (Corliss) for a decent back up point guard. This revised roster will be enough to dominate most teams in the league.

All I got say is that Bibby grabbed more rebounds than Brad.

NO! If were to have only 2 core guys, that would be Artest/Bonzi IMHO. Bibby's contract is hard to trade, but not impossible if using a second "cheaper" player in a trade. KT is also in the same boat.

I agree with you but I find it hard to see Petrie trading more than 2 starters this offseason. If he is, Brad and KT are the likeliest just because size is the easiest to trade. PGs are more common. I also think KTs stock rose a little bit, offsetting the egg Brad laid :\

We all know it would be ideal to trade Brad and KT for a good big man because a deal like that is killing three birds (get the upgrade we needed and rid ourselves of two bad contracts) with one stone. However, what is the probability of another team proposes such a deal to the Kings?

Here is a question for you. Suppose Brad Miller has two great games in a row and the Kings win the Spurs series. Will 80 percent of Kings fans still want to send Brad back to Kendallville?

Probably not.

But, this poll technically doesn't show that 80% of Kings fans want to send Brad packing, it just shows that 80% of the fans that voted don't consider him to be part of the essential core of the team.

I, for instance, voted for the Mike/Bonzi/Ron option, but it doesn't mean that I actively want Brad gone.

That, once again, is the problem with statistics. People tend to read more into them than what's actually there.

I, for example, chose the first option BUT I do not want to send Brad packing. There is built-in bias in the "three core guy" assumption to begin with. I personally think we're one decent PF and a backup PG away from a pretty danged impressive team.

Two good games doesn't erase 5 ugly games. We should have gotten this series if everybody wasn't playing bad and a horrendous 2.8 RPG this PO is unacceptable for a C.

Man, Brad's a mercenary in my book, expendable to boot. But Bibby ? With due respect to knowledgeable Kings fans in this forum, i believe he's the foundation of your team, one of the best PG in the league. Might not be perfect. but who is ? Heck, even Parker said that he wanted to be Bibby. He's having a rough series, but he's facing one of the best D team that one of their plan is stopping high % shooter like Bibby having a field day offensively. I hate when some foolish, impatient Spurs fans were eager to trade Tony in summer '04 for his inconsistent postseason performance, or even way back then at the height of JKidd debacle. Look who's laughing with another ring, new multi million contract, and allstar cred now (not to mention having one of the most beautiful people as a GF). Bottom line, Bibby deserves more respect, unless you can land a true franchise player like Garnett, trading him for the sake of trading wil be regretted in the future, i'm sure of that.

I think the odd man out is Brad...you gotta resign Wells, even though he's dotting all the 'i's in a contract year, you have to believe he actually wants to continue the progress we've made and grow with Ron, among others. $10 million is a huge contract, but you have to keep the evolution of the team on an upward trend until we get to the ultimate, and I think that both Ron and Bonzi both see that potential.
