We have a prediction thread going for who you think will win the WCF, but let's look at it another way. (Yes, I have an ulterior motive.) ;)

Regardless of who you THINK will win, who are you rooting for?

Suns --- I'm tired of the "defensive wins championship" motto. Of course, the Suns just gave up 43 points in the 4th quarter of game 1, so maybe there's a reason for the motto...

the refs do deserve their props... half of amares points come from nash and the refs....

Suns. I want someone to break this dogmatic paradigm that slow-down, defensive slugfests are the ONLY way to win championships.

One of the major reasons the "sluggo" style has dominated the past 20 years is that refs go along with it in the postseason; what was a foul in the regular season is let go in the playoffs, thus the defensive oriented team has the advantage, thus a vicious cycle is perpetuated. Here's hoping Pheonix breaks the cylce (although it would kill me that Sacramento wasn't the first to do it).

I thought I could root for the Suns throughout the playoffs. But the more I see them, the less I root for them. i don't know why and I can't put my finger on it. But I like the Spurs even less. I would like to see the Suns advance though, just to give offensive minded teams a chance to advance.

San Antone,I really don't like Bowen, but the spurs play very well together as a team, they have it together on both ends of the court, and well coached,IMO.

Both teams are annoying to me.

I rather root for the LAKERS. LOL Teasing. ^_^

Okay back to the question, Spurs only because I don't want the SUNS to be in the FINALS.....for many reasons.

How do people hate the Suns? They've only been good for about the last half-hour, they play offensively and they don't have anybody worth hating. The Spurs, OTOH, with Popovic, Bowen, Horry.......

Many dont like Nash because of him being on the Mavs and of course nobody likes Horry. I dont have a problem with Pop or Bowen.

I'm going for the Suns for no specific reason, although I do feel like it would be a more "fun" finals series with them and the Heat.

BUT no way they're gonna win, so hopefully Spurs and Heat will have a good series too. ;)

I'm going for the SUNS!!! Hope they win it all. I've always liked the team and those guys really deserve it. They had an outstanding season, they played their hearts out, and it was very exciting watching them play. I think they are a great group of guys. They kinda remind me of the 2002 Kings team..but I know, i know..don't start getting on my case..I know that no team could ever compare to our Kings..but I think Suns deserve a championship this season so I'm all for them.

'Rooting' may be too strong a word for my (slight) preference for San Antonio.

I dont think i will feel any disappointment if the Suns win, so why do i state a preference, and how do i link that in with the Kings?

I see The Suns as a 'fun and run' team, not so far removed from Dallas has been. I fear that if Phoenix win the NBA this year then the talk will all be about how defence is less of an issue to win and how 'pace' is the key crtieria.

If the decision makers at our club get drawn into that mindset then they may give less importance to resolving our inability to defend and rebound.

Brick dug up the stats somewhere in one of the threads that showed the suns were not a poor defensive team, only mediocre.

I think we want our Kings to be better than that on the defensive end and of course that means getting the right personnel on the court and off it (which may take more than one season).

There is talk about us wearing black uniforms. That wont make us better than the Spurs, but nor will having a team with the playing style of Phoenix.

Lets hope we get the right balance between offense and defence.

I'm gonna have to say I'm not really rooting for any team but I would prefer to see the Spurs win due to a soft spot in my heart for Tim Duncan...don't ask why...there's just something about him...my wish for Finals is Spurs vs Heat :D

I am going for the Suns. I usually gravitate towards the underdogs. How no one cannot admire Nash is beyond me. He is the consummate underdog; but with will, determination and hard work he has accomplished what many said was impossible for him. Plus I HATE Bowen, I cannot root for any team he is on and the Spurs have already won a Championship. I would like to see someone else have a chance to go for the prize.
