A team rebound for the Kings is when the ball is loose and goes off a Piston player out of bounds. reverse is true for pistons.

Of the 56 games Skinner played last year for Milwaukee, he started in 54. Brad played quite well last year when CWebb was out, starting at PF. What you could do is start Skinner, and then use Kenny Thomas to back-up both positions (when Skinner goes out, bring in Kenny, and slide over Brad).

I'd like to try that, and see what happens. Clearly, Adelman and Petrie have completely lost confidence in Greg Ostertag. Getting Brian Skinner may be one of the overlooked components of the CWebb trade. More PT for Skinner and less for Ostertag seems to be a GOOD thing.

This trade really brought the team some flexibility. It's all about the matchups, baby..

I think it deserves more than a little consideration. Of all of the players we got back int eh trade, Skinner comes the closest to being a guy who addresses our interior defense/rebounding problems. He is not a game turner. We got crunched on the boards, killed on defense with him starting the last few (before tonight). But he's part of the solution, not the problem. But he has to be on the floor to do that. We really do need to have at leaat one tough defensive minded starter out there, and Skinner is about the only guy we ahve on the whole roster who fits that description.

Skinner held Shaq to a pretty mediocre game the other day. I dont see how he can be outsized any more than that.

I think Adelman should at least try Skinner at C and Miller at PF. Both shoot a very high % from the field. As I see it, we get more points on less shots + more D.

I like the idea of a Miller, Skinner, Songalia rotation with Skinner as Center when he's in. They need to practice with Brad as pf Skinner as center, and Songalia as pf with Brad as center is already a proven combo. Also while not a shotblocker Songalia is a pretty good defender(better than Brad).

That is the problem -- we'd be mini off the bench with 2 guys who are both pretty much pure PFs (Thomas even can play some SF). But as far as starters, I do like the idea of a Brad and Skinner duo.

I wouldn't start Miller/Skinner 'cause then you've just got small guys (Darius, Kenny) off the bench. But I would like to see them both on the floor for stretches, that's a nice big frontcourt.

When Kenny comes in off the Bench Move Brad to center... If both Songalia, and Kenny are in than that must mean that Peja is on the bench (move Thomas to SF), but this plan only works if Skinner, or Miller are in the game at all times.

If not than Ostertag would be in (if there was foul trouble) But only for about 3-5 minutes.

Whatever happens Skinner needs to get minutes. He brings alot to the frontcourt that we don't have. I prefer to start Brad at Center and Kenny at the PF. Then bring in Skinner and Songaila.....that way we always have a "big" on the floor who knows the offense real well and can handle the ball in the high post while the other can work inside.


I just hope that Adelman doesn't forget about Skinner when Brad comes back.

The answer would be the same rotation RA used with a Webb,Miller line up and DArius comming in essentialy at the 4 and Web then shifting to the 5, but agian the numbers 4 and 5 or names center and powerforward are really meaningless it realy is better to think in terms ofhigh post low post. Not sure I wnat to see Skiner at the high post, but both Darius and Miller can play well there on offense and the defnesive asingments will always be based on "match up" rather than position, except when the tem goes to the 3-2 zone.

I too, have entertained the thought of Skinner starting at C and Brad moving over to PF.

Skinner PF/C, Miller PF/C, Peja SF, Songaila SF/PF, Thomas SF/PF, Williamson SF/PF and Tag C .... nice list .... interchangeable positions.

The way I see it... Adelman is gonna do some experimenting with different combinations "as he always does".

The nice thing is ... it's a nice problem to have .... and there's plenty of minutes to go around.

I wouldn't say start Skinner, but we should cut back Millers minutes a little bit so Skinner can play a little more, then Miller won't be as tired for the Post Season.

I hope Mobley stays out for the next game. I think Mobley, as good as he is, tends to hog the ball a bit, specially in 4th quarters. He also forces up shots with bad timing. I hope he watched the game just to see how good the team can be when they play as a team. :\
