That would be depressing if corey got traded to Kings because I got his clippers jersey about 2 months ago >.<
Disagree. Unlike Howard and Abdur-Rahim, Harrington has acutally proven that he can put up numbers on a good team (see 2002-2004 Indiana Pacers); Harrington was unquestionably the sixth man on a very good Pacers team, and provided them with critical depth at both forward positions, essentially "deebo"-ing Austin Croshere entirely out of the Pacer lineup. I don't hold it against him that he hasn't been able to singularly turn the Atlanta F. Hawks around.Bricklayer said:P.S. Not really a Harrington fan either. Put him in that same Juwan Howard/Rahim class of non-impact tweener guys. Could help with the rebounding though.
Fact is that if you do that trade, you are trading down not upMr. S£im Citrus said:Disagree. And, at the risk of speaking ill of a Kings player, when I read your post, my initial reaction was, "but Stojakovic is?" A guy who can't create his own shot is an impact player? A guy who gets routinely shut down by defenders half his size is an impact player? I mean, I'm not saying that Harrington is really the answer, so to speak, or even an "impact player" by whatever standard you might be using. But, if Stojakovic fits the criteria for an "impact player," then I submit that you might need to re-define that expression.
BobbyJ_for3! said:on part of the original topic, I complete disagree that Mobley is a better Bobby J. First, Jackson passes when its smarter to pass than to shoot. Mobley sometimes does that, but not always. Second, Jackson can come out and play hard RIGHT away and for a lengthy time. He does not need to time get into his rhythm like Mobley(which is not a critisizm, many starters need rhythm time). Third, BJax is MUCH MUCH better on defense, either on the ball or in a zone/off the ball. Maybe Mobley comes up with steals, but that is usually off of another players hard work at cornering or blocking a guys route to the basket. Again, no diss on Cat, I do like him, but to me, hes no where near the same as BJax (someone may say I think that becuase bobby j is my fav player, and that may be part of it, but its not the whole of it)
Explain. What are you actually losing, besides a little three-point shooting? Name value?Čarolija said:Fact is that if you do that trade, you are trading down not up...
That doesn't necessarily prove anything; I'd be willing to bet that a lot of GM's in the NBA would rather have Shareef Abdur-Rahim than Kenny Thomas, but that doesn't mean that Abdur-Rahim would necessarily be the right choice... Stojakovic has some gaudy shooting numbers, but you wouldn't even have to dig very deep to realize that all of his best offensive perfomances were attributed to someone else's hard work, and he doesn't really give you much else, so it's not like he's "head and shoulders" above a player like Harrington; if he's better at all, it's only by a marginal degree, and it really depends on your point of view.Čarolija said:... If you ask any GM in the league who they would rather have in their team a greater percentage of them would choose Peja.
LMM said:uhmm he had surgery. and last season it was the abdominal strain. that's a tricky injury cause only the player can figure out if he's ready or not. and if you force the action, it may result in something worst (like a tear).
GP has said time and time again that he will pick up bobby's contract for next season. if it is a career ending injury, why would GP do that?

We need offseason to work new players into the system. Cat will be one of them if he wants, but GP will try to trade him in that case. Mark my words.
