What do the individual Kings need to work on this summer?

Once they have recuperated from the long season, most players get to work to improve their game: they add new skills, polish old ones, sometimes change their diet or weight regimens. Last summer, Domantas Sabonis worked on his diet & physique and on improving his three-point shot. He was in incredible shape when the season started.

What do you think the Kings' players need to work on the most? Keegan Murray, for instance, could stand to improve his dribbling, ball-handling, and passing skills. Keon Ellis desperately needs to learn all the ways to run a fast break. Zach LaVine needs to get back to basics on defensive posture, spacing, and moving his feet. I could go on...

I'd be happy if Keegan just focused on his 3pt shot and got closer to where he was his rookie year.

In regards to his shot, they pretty much need to figure out the early season struggles, especially November. He has generally been in the 37-41 percent range in every other month. He has had 4 months in his career where he shot less than 30 percent from 3. Three of them were in November and the fourth was this last April but they only had 4 games.

With Bobby Jackson back on the staff, I’d expect big things from Devin and Keon.

Tyrese Maxey was already good but took the leap to star with Bobby there to help develop him. De’Aaron also took a leap the second Bobby joined Joerger’s staff.

Hell, Keon’s year with Bobby in Stockton pretty much is what got him to the point he is at now.

Like a broken record......Murray and his shooting/ball handling.

For years now I haven't been convinced Murray has not had the proper off-season training regimen. We'll see this off-season if it continues to be same ol' same ol'.

With both Bobby and Doug if young players don't get better then those players just don't have it. Christie was always working with Jones from the looks of it when we saw practice videos and Isaacs leap and confidence even if older (he did start up late though right?) was noticeable. Between the Stockton crew and this coaching staff hopefully this team can finally start building that "culture".

If Keegan loses some of the weight he put on last offseason does he regain quickness and get to the rim a little easier? It's also more of a team thing rather than 'something Keegan needs to work on' but it would be great if his role was more 3rd/ 4th option with opportunity for some plays off movement rather than a fifth option/ spot up shooter on a team that doesn't pass more than twice per possession.

Devin = 1. health and availability and 2. scoring percentages. He shot 44% from 2, 30% from 3, and 59% from the line. Nice that he took opportunities to shoot given to him but pretty abysmal numbers.

I feel the other players have more or less established who they are.

I looked at Keegan's stats. They have not changed much over three years, except his 3P% went from 41.1% to 34.3%, and his rebounds went up each season. Assists have been below 2 per game every year. Really, is it that hard to pass the ball to the open man, or dribble and dish? I think it requires a better understanding of how all five players are moving (or, too often, not moving) on the court. It's like a defender in soccer that keeps passing the ball sideways or back to the keeper, instead of advancing forward.
