What are you watching on TV?

We've got listening preferences - again - and we've got movies. So why not programming?

Right now, I'm watching the astronauts do an EVA as they continue to work on the Hubble telescope. I'm not sure if it's live or if it was recorded earlier. It's on the NASA channel...

I even like Green Day, which will probably come as a surprise to some... It actually came as a surprise to me. ;)

Watched on Hulu, the Dollhouse season finale. Some say this is Whedon's best show. Episodes always start out slow in the first 10-15 minutes but then they pick up and twist things up quickly.

Very interesting show with the entire programable blank slate people aspect they have going on.

Then I will watch The Simpsons season finale.

I enjoyed Dollhouse after the first 3 or 4 episodes it got really good. I thought it was toast but apparently it got renewed. So did Chuck which apparently everyone thought was a goner too, though it will only get 13 episodes.

I seem to have the same schedule as some of you, though I mostly watch DVR. I watched SNL and am a huge fan of the Jeopardy parodies even though they are completely non-sensical. But Sean Connery always turning the category name into something offensive never gets old for me the way most recurrent SNL sketches do. And though it was 2 weeks ago that mother's day song was the best thing ever. Also watched the Sox-Mariners games. I always forget to book a trip up North to see them live though thankfully I think I'd have left depressed this weekend and with the Bruins and C's losing to boot my Boston side of the brain is suddenly feeling very empty.

^^I "Dexter"ed that last night. I'm going to be watching it tonight...late night entertainment.

And I use the term Dexter to describe using my DVR, since it was that series that finally got me to get the silly thing in the first place. And now I cannot imagine my life without it.

I'm planning to catch Blueprint America: Road to the Future tonight. It examines 3 cities (Denver, Portland and NY) and how they are dealing with their transportation infrastructures. I'm trying to switch to cycle commuting at least 3 days a week and full time in the summer (from the bus, no parking at work) and so it will be interesting to see my city viewed from a national lens.

Then I'll fast forward through the Idol finale and watch the season finale of Criminal Minds.

"So You Think You Can Dance" starts tomorrow, so it's time to kickoff another summer of samba-ing in my living room and moaning to the TV about how much better I used to be than any of those whippersnappers. Oh, and scrambling for the mute button every time Mary Murphy opens her mouth. Good times.

Have also been finally watching "Dollhouse," since I had the whole season waiting in my DVR. Cheesy, but enjoyable. "Project Runway" is finally back in August, too, and I'm intrigued by "Top Chef: Masters." Ugh... I'm disgusted by how much reality TV I watch these days.

I'm also looking forward to the new season of Project Runway. And I, too, watch way too much reality TV.

Right now, I'm watching the replay of last night's American Idol finale. I thoroughly enjoyed it. But of course I'm old and most of the musicians were long-time favorites of mine.

:)

"Dexter" is my No. 1 favorite show! I dropped Showtime after the last season of "Dexter," but will pick it up again just for that one show once the new season premiers.
I also love "NCIS," which has been the highest-rated, scripted show of the current season. Only the two "American Idols" and "Dancing with the Stars" beats "NCIS" in the ratings. Great writing on that show and some of the best character interaction of all time.

Let's see... TV shows

just finished watching Firefly on DVD (AWESOME!)

Really looking forward to summer seasons of Eureka (I hope it comes back), Psych, Burn Notice, and the final season of Monk.

Not a lot running right now between seasons... so we have been watching a lot of shows we did not watch during the season like CSI and oldies like the Three Stooges.

I thought the finale of 24 was ok for the first hour or so. Only the last 30 minutes of the second hour seemed really forced to try to cram in some resolution to the last bit of the story. This was however the best season in 3 or 4 years.

Prison Break finale... now that was a waste, but the series had already gone down in flames.

Yeah, Firefly was fantastic. Watching those DVD's and the cast commentary about how much they all loved doing the show made me mad and sad that it was cancelled. Now, go watch the movie Serenity if you haven't already.

Yes, Eureka returns on 7/10 to finish off Season 3 with 10 more episodes. I just started watching the first two seasons on DVD, and I DVR'd a marathon of the first half of Season 3, so I'll be caught up before it comes back.

Burn Notice is just pure fun and coolness!

I just read that "My Name Is Earl" has just been cancelled!

The show was at its best in the first two seasons, and hasn't been quite as good since then. But still...this is disappointing! :(

Wow. I don't know what they'll get that would be better than Earl, it had slipped but NBC has so few good shows. I am liking Southland so far, never got ER so that's an improvement in my book. I think they picked it up, hopefully for a full season.

It's being replaced by a sitcom called Community about a group of adults going back to community college. I don't know too much more about it, but it has Chevy Chase, Joel McHale from The Soup, and John Oliver (the British reporter from The Daily Show).

I like Joel McHale from The Soup and Earl. Why can't I have both

At least Dollhouse made it to a second season, Terminator didn't.

Sorry to see Reaper on this list. They really didn't give it much of a chance in its second season and its not like the CW doesn't have far worse shows apparently renewed. It was kind of like Supernatural Light.
