Still suffering from the third-degree burns they incurred last night in Phoenix by trying to fly to close to the Suns, the Kings come home and have to gear up to face the Raptors.
At this point in the season, when the true playoff bound teams are really beginning to step up, there's not gonna be a lot of things to be excited about as Kings fans. But we can hope for heart and hustle - and a chance to see the players towards the end of the bench finally getting some decent minutes.
I'm all for letting Lorenzen Wright at least get SOME playing time. I think the guy deserves it. He's showing more sportsmanship and encouragement towards his fellow Kings than I think anyone would have expected. He's one of the expiring contracts we got for Mike, so we most likely won't see him after April 15. Why not let him at least get on the floor at Arco? If I recall, we were somewhat actively suggesting a trade for him a few year's back.
Hawes continues to impress me. The kid has the heart and he has the moves, now he just needs to refine them. With it looking like Miller is starting to wind down, I'd like to see Spencer get a majority of minutes. He can use the experience and Brad has done so well this season, I hate to see him ending the year on a bad note (although I think some people forget about his sliced finger and tailbone bruise).
