What does this argument even mean? Oscar Robinson, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem, all other candidates for GOAT, all of whom "ring chased". Hell, Kobe even reported asked to be traded from the Lakers once when they started sucking.

The Lakers are built like the Mavs only instead of shooters who can't play D, they've assembled a roster full of dudes who can play really tough defense but couldn't shoot the ball, pass, or create a shot for themselves if their lives depended on it and then Kyle Kuzma.

I think it's more than being surrounded by the right players. Part of development is having patience and the Kings front office has had none which is why you see so much roster turnover and then the players the Kings drafted prosper elsewhere as contributors while doing nothing in Sacramento. Another equation that plays a role here is the personnel being unable to put the players into positions to succeed just based on my eye test, I can't sit here and say I know what's going on behind closed doors and how much time is put into teaching these young players but I don't think I need to be behind the scenes to put together the pieces.
