exactly. But imagine if Valde got those picks and then Monte used them to draft the players he liked with some constraints like we have to have a forward.

Vlade NOT drafting Luka set us back way more than trading De'Aaron for the return Monte received for him ever will.

Ok I'm coming around to getting Monte some help..

But if we brought Vlade back in that capacity I would still observe the entire thing with a detached sense of dread.

There's gotta be someone else who can help run the team who didn't already have their shot and ruin the team.
