Welcome Dennis Schröder

I’m not very thrilled by Schroder tbh. Not trying to be a whiner. He’s a solid player. I just don’t think he moves the needle, nor do I think he can serve as glue for our mismatched lineup.

And that’s before I get whacked over the head with actual numbers which will likely make me even less thrilled.
He is the perfect make the play-in player.

whatever, this is destined to be another wasted season, lose in play in and get the 13th pick. Thanks Vivek

The instant gratification crowd never ceases to amuse. So does the “intentionally lose” crowd.

Nobody ever taught them about the purpose or spirit of competition. Nope, it’s always about shortcuts and cheating the system.

Sure I go watch high school to see the purpose of competition. If I’m paying over 100 a ticket I want a plan to compete in the playoffs.

Or could Dennis in a s&t fit into the tpe? Is that possible?
We have a $16.8M TPE from the way we structured Huerter's departure, so we could fit Schroder into that in a S&T. Of course, that would also cap us for the season at the first apron as we were this year following the DDR S&T. If the reports on the value of the Schroder contract are correct, we'd only have about $15M of space left under the apron to operate, so we would clearly be making trades for some flexibility if we did that. Sounds a bit like we're lining things up, but who know what things those are. Monk's name is "trending".

Dennis’ agent is Keegan and Keon’s as well, according to Matt. This could mean he has more leverage to turn the deal to their favor?

Reports I keep reading allege that the KINGS are sending Malik Monk to Detroit in a s&t deal for Schröder.

If so, it just took this “meh” signing to another level.
If the rumors are true, we better be getting something back in the trade like a 1st round pick or a couple of 2nd rounders or a young player with upside. Detroit was not not going to re-sign Schroeder anyways.

Perry can't be that dumb to trade Monk and not get back anything else in return, can he?
