lol. no, Ron Artest actually said that(quote) into a mic after he got suspended. He's an idiot, a child mentally. I wasn't saying anything about you other than you were wrong about Artest. Go look at his playoff numbers from last year if you don't care that he's Forrest Gumps intellectual equal.SaCKiNgS24 said:is that directed toward me?
Is anybody gonna address the fact that Ron Artest disappeared in the playoffs last year? Hello... Anyone?SacTwnsFiNesT said:ron artest for peja anyday. peja hasnt proved he could help us with a title. a coupel of yrs ago game 7 against la he missed a wide open 3 hes not clutch. and artest will average 18 a game easy and hella boards. all we need is defense. and ur attitude changes where u are. sac fans never boo our players and thats motivation right there and im sure he wont do that again no matter where he plays. id try and get a trade with the pacers for him or the celts for pierce.
Peja outboarded Ron Artest last year in the playoffs! ... wait is this you Ron?SacTwnsFiNesT said:artest will average 18 a game easy and hella boards.

Yes Peja had more than a few key stops in 1 on1 coverage(Dirk) last year in the playoffs, he also avg more steals 1.8(Peja), to 1.4(Artest) in the playoffs last year... because like I've been trying to tell you Ron Artest disapeared/choked last year in the playoffs. Any more questions?SaCKiNgS24 said:can peja play D though? Ron Artest had a bad playoffs last year so what, peja didnt do too much better!

Or Ron Artest!vj9999 said:Considering that we never won a title, same can be said about any other player on our team.
Do you mean 18.4 ppg vs. 18.3 ppg in the regular season?KP said:Is anybody gonna address the fact that Ron Artest disappeared in the playoffs last year? Hello... Anyone?
Hey the guys a great talent don't get me wrong but so is Peja, and neither one of them has proven anything in the playoffs(even though Peja did step up his D and Rebs last year when his shot wasn't falling and Ron didn't). Add to that the fact that Artest is a moron and might beat you up if you attend a game, and I don't know why you'd want him.SaCKiNgS24 said:come on now, be realistic. your saying no ones going to want the DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF LAST YEAR! i would be more than one team ends up trying to get this guy.
He played more min but he coulnd't buy a basket he shot .28 from three(which they needed him to hit for them) and don't act like the Heat were a great defensive team last year Shaq wasn't there and if it wasn't for D-Wades exceptional offensive play they would have been bounced out in the first round. Yes I am also talking about his steals which lead to easy buckets and he didn't give them come post season. He was a defensive player on that team but they heavily depended on his shooting too. If we can get mad at Peja and say his FG%'s went down in the playoffs we can say the same about Artest. His overall FG% went down from 42% to 37%. He couldn't do the things they depended on him for come postseason, I'm not the first to say it either... it was all over the place. Look Peja outrebounded him, got more steals, had a better fg%, a better 3pt%, a way better ft%, and made several key stops for us in the playoffs now you tell me who outplayed the other in last years postseason. As bad as Pejas shooting fall-off was at least he came through in other areas that you never would have expected.uolj said:Do you mean 18.4 ppg vs. 18.3 ppg in the regular season?
Do you mean 6.5 rpg vs. 5.3 rbg in the regular season?
Do you mean 3.2 apg vs. 3.7 apg in the regular season?
Do you mean 1.4 spg vs. 2.1 spg in the regular season?
Do you mean 1.1 bpg vs. 0.7 bpg in the regular season?
Or do you mean that the Pacers played weak defensive teams in the playoffs last year, like the Heat and the eventual champion Pistons?
I really don't care all that much about this topic, but I don't think Artest disappeared in the playoffs last year, and since you asked for it, there you go.![]()

I don't disagree with anything you just said except for maybe the top 10 player part.(although he's def. up thereDiabeticwonder said:I completely agree that Artest has problems, but the bottom line in the NBA is whether or not you can play. Just look as Spree for example. The backlash he got for choking PJ was outrageus and the same things that are now being said about Artest were said about Spree. Spree got a change of scenery and allowed his skills to do the talking. Sure, Spree is not even close to what he once was because he is getting older, but I'm sure that a lot of GM's around the league have kicked themselves for not going after him while he was at Golden State. Once Artest gets back on the court I think that his skills will do the talking and he will be a very valuable asset to a team.
People make mistakes, some big, some small, and while Artest's mistake or shall I say lapse in judgment was a BIG lapse in judgment the bottom line is that he is IMO a top 10 player in the league and that he will have a very long career in the NBA. He is a completely different person than someone like Rodman and I would take someone with Artest's problems over someone with Rodman's problems any day. At least Artest has acknowldged that what he did was wrong and that he has sought and will seek counseling for his problems. The same cannot be said for Rodman. I doubt that Petrie will go after Artest, but someone will and I think that they will be glad that they did because he is a phenominal talent who will undoubtedly make whatever team he ends up on a better team on the court...and in the NBA that is all that matters.
Yeah, I think he wins most insane player of the year in 2004-2005. Although his boy Stephen Jackson might have something to say about it.VF21 said:Yeah. Whatever.
He may have been defensive player of the year in 2003-2004, but that's ancient history now.
His continuing problems with anger management have now become the ONE thing he will be remembered for.
I am being realistic. It's you who seem to be focusing more on what happened BEFORE this latest episode. You know, the one that got him banned from the league for a year?
I repeat - this isn't his first offense either. While there may actually be teams out there willing to gamble their entire season on this nutcase, I am pretty close to absolutely positive the Kings aren't one of those teams.
