We Can Still Do This!!!!!

they can still win but its gonna be a long shot! and its gonna take some hard work, dedication and heart! oh not to mention a new coach!

A win tomorrow can determine everything. Win in Seattle, come home (fans ready), try winning at home, then go to a game 7. Its gonna be hard, but possible. I just wanna see a game 7, to me thats a real accomplishment.

I started this thread to lighten up the mood a little in here. However, now that it is going in a little bit of a positive direction, I will say that I have been around sports for a long time and have seen some strange things. I have seen the immaculate reception, Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson, the 1980 USA hockey Team and so on. I just listened to Adelman on the post game and he just empatically reminded the media that Seattle had to win 4 games to win this series and until that happens, this series is not over. Call me unrealistic if you want, but I consider it not giving up on your team. I saw a post after game 2 from someone stating that the team has given up on us. That is BS. These are professionals and I promise you that they are trying every minute they are on the floor. Does that mean that they don't get frustrated during a game or make really bad decisions. No. That means that they want to win this series probably as bad as we would like them to win this series. Will they? Well we'll just have to wait and see. And even if they don't, I will be right back in front of my TV or at the Arena next year rooting for whatever team they put on the floor.
It was probably me who you are referring to. I felt that they gave up after that game 2 because that was what I saw. I guess it hit me hardest because I went to that game fully expecting us to come out aggressive and win after a terrible game 1. But when we lost it was such a big let down for me especially since I was amongst enemy territory and not amongst friendly confines of Kings fans. I really like the analogy someone else posted from another thread that kings fans and their relationship with the Kings are like a family. I believe we cheer and support our family the strongest but it is true we are also the hardest and most critical to our close ones. I am like this with my own family and I am like this with my kings. I would never abandon my family just like I would never abandon my kings just because I criticize them. I don't know it's just a sport; am I letting it affect my life too much?

Okay- enough of that (just testy after watching us lay a big egg in the second half)... Everyone has the same goal here- so one word; BELIEVE.

Kings come out with desperation and energy and steal Game 5, win a close, tense struggle behind ARCO thunder in game 6, and steal game 7 on the road (ala Lakers in 2001) against a team with little playoff experience and even less in Game 7 situations...

GO KINGS

You're exactly right and I owe you an apology for attacking you with fangs bared. We're all fans here - with a few notable and brief exceptions. If we didn't care about this team, we certainly wouldn't be staying up til all hours on a message board trying to solve the unsolvable.

Welcome to Kingsfans.com...

BTW? I like your screen play for the next three games. Could you please get it to the Kings ASAP?

GO KINGS!!!!!

Not in my humble opinion.

GO KINGS!!!!!

.
My point is that real fans would give their team the courtesy of letting the season run its course before dismantling the team.

For the record, we, the fans, aren't the ones who dismantled the team in the middle of the season;) Am I still cheering my heart out? Yes. Am I still hoping? Yes. Do I truly BELIEVE? um, no. I guess I'm a bad 'fan' because much as my heart wants them to win, my head doesn't see it happening. Although, as they say, anything is possible, right?

I'm pretty deflated after last night. I don't think it's realistic that the Kings will bounce back and win this series. I personally feel that the season will end in Seattle. I think it would be a minor miracle for this team, that gave up a huge lead last night, to win 3 in a row at this point.

I really thought we had the momentum and would win last night. Dead wrong, again.
