We better pray Bibby is here next year!...

It's nice to dream, but we wouldn't get KG without trading Bibby, Artest, Bonzi, etc. They'd tell us to keep that lame duck Miller. With how Artest and Bonzi have been for us, the Wolves would definately want them if they gave up KG, don't think they wouldn't.

Well, that's OK, because I'll settle for Elton Brand.

BIBBY... ALTHOUGH I LOVE THIS GUY, i think we should trade him.... we could get a good replacement for him... HE's not the same player anymore.

Not the same player anymore??? Bibby is no worse a player than he's ever been - the team around him has changed and as a result, he's had different kinds of opportunities. I'm not a Bibby homer - he has his limitations, but he is very capable of being the point guard on a world championship team. A good replacement for him? I'd like to hear about that.

I don't think this is the time to be getting rid of Bibby. I think he stays at least until his contract is up, at that piont the team can decide what to do. However our Center position needs immediate attention.

With this coaching change I guarantee you Brad is gone along with Adelman. He has no value to this team anymore. His game is taylored to the Princeton offence and assuming we hire another coach that doesn't run the Princeton he is useless to us. With Brad not running the offense no more, I really believe we are going to see Bibby's ability to open things up for the rest of the team. His scoring more then likely will go down but we will see a steady increase in his assists.

WHAT? Are you just talking to talk?

Brad is no good without RA?

While I agree BRAD had a horrible HORRIBLE playoffs and in general a bad year. Would you be open to a possibility that Brad is the type of player that may needs a new coach that will be on his butt all the time.

Actually, all player moves are kind of up int he air now pending the new coach.

Bring in a Princeton guy (Porter, maybe Jordan or Scott)? Brad may stay.
Bring in Don Nelson? Most of the roster stays -- Don loves offensive mismatch guys and small ball.
Bring in Larry Brown? Bibby and Brad are both gone (Larry's PGs are passers and defenders, his centers shotblockers).
Bring in...

Any established coach has personnel preferences which it would be foolish to ignore. But until we know the coach, we won't know what flavor he's going to favor.

Mmm...Brad had his best years under Rick. We're not going to bring in a coach who he'll perform BETTER for. But he's played solidly for other coaches before. He was not a Rick creation. Just thrived in the Princeton -- what his skills are best suited for.

I'm not saying Brad sucks. The guys a 2 time all-star. What I am saying is that we are going in a different direction. Brad's outside shooting is great. There's nothing more I like then watching Brad step up to the elbow and knock down a shot. However, we all know Brad is not athletic. No coach can teach athleticism. I would love for a coach to push Brad. I wish a coach would force him to hit the weight room hard. I'm not saying that Brad is going to be traded but Brad's game is taylored around being a high post center who will knock down 15 footers with the occasional 3. He will sprinkle in 4 assists and grab you 7 rebs a game. We sorely need a defensive big man. I wouldn't mind seeing Brad move down to the PF and hopefully sign a defensive Center.

Well I agree and I don't. Obviously a passing/shooting center playing the high post in best suited in the Princeton, but I think in any offense you can utilize Brads strengths. He still is one of the best offensive centers in the league.

I think if you put a real PF along side B-rad then we have a great combo. Brad could still play in the high post doing what he does best.

While I am all for a more defensive team. Right now we have really one player to count on for 3's. All a team has to do to us now is collapse inside and we are done. Brad's skills if he is on "granted take that with a grain" definately opens up things for our Power Guard/shooting forward. :) LOL Nellie is on his way!

I hear ya Bur06. I am afraid or concerned that we are getting rid of all our offensive pieces.

If that is addressed along with brad getting traded I am for that. Need to address some sort of outside threat first.

Thanks for clarifying this for me Brick. I had trouble typing my thoughts.

Brad fits perfectly with Artest and Bonzi....can you imgine the Kings trying to post up Artest and Bonzi, while having a 'true' center clogging the middle??

I would love to keep Brad. The only concern of mine is bolstering the Center spot with an intimidator. If we do this then we'll be on our way.

I agree with most, and especially Brad, but Bibby and Brown have gotten along quite well before (I think the Worlds in Indy, if I'm not mistaken). Brown ended up playing Bibby over Kidd, if I recall correctly, and he got Bibby to play decent D.

I remember this. I think Bibby led the tourney in steals.

Lead by example only works if Bibby is a work horse type of player who averages (20/10/5) and can play on both ends. Bibby is not that kind of player. Bibby is more like an assasin who hits clutch shots once in awhile.

No your right... Bibby didn't lead Arizona to NCAA championship.

You're right, he didn't. Miles Simon and Michael Dickerson did. Bibby was a nice distributor for that team though.

Actually Bibby would stay, Brown loves Bibby. He wishes he had him in New York right about now.

Sure he does.

Larry is always in love with everybody who is not actually on his own team.

And then the reality would hit -- that Mike is a shooter, not a playmaker, a scorer, not a defender, and Larry would be off trashing him in the papers.

Larry's PGs over the years have largely been anti-Bibbys -- Mark Jackson, Eric Snow, Doc Rivers, only Chauncey bears any resmblance at all, and he is a top flight PG defender.

Playing decent D in the NBA game in game out and playing decent D in international basketball for a shortish period of time are two TOTALLY different things.

With Adelman being gone, we need a true leader. No one played or lead the team better then Mike Bibby when Webber, Divac, Bobby, or Peja left. We need Bibby to be a true captain next year. To keep our team playing like a team and feeling like a family.

All we need is the wrong coach to come in and drive Ron Artest outta town...

cross your fingers.

Are you kidding me? Bibby is absolutely NO KIND OF LEADER. He leads team dime, thats about it. I want some of what YOU'RE smoking......

Chauncey is NOT a good defender, it looks good on paper, but he has Big Ben back there shutting fools up and thats why one might be led to THINK Chauncey is a good defender. He isn't though, hate to burst your bubble. There really is no such thing as a good defensive point guard, except Gary Payton when he was young, and even then he had his issues with certain players.

Bibby didn't play and Brown didn't coach
