We are in the 8th seed right now

Most pre-season predictions I saw has the Kings around 11-13 finish in WC. A lot of prognosticators felt Golden State, Denver and LAC would be worse this year, but not as many felt Dallas and San Antonio were in for a big slide. Maybe, "lets make the playoffs" is not all that far-fetched for the completely written off before the season started Kings.

This is wwwwaaaaayyyyyy to early in the season to be thinking about playoffs.

Trust me, I don't really want the playoffs (especially the 8 seed), I'm just saying it's amazing how one week can change things. After our 0-4 start, I was thinking we'd be like 13-69 or something. That's how bad they looked.

Oh good lord guys. We played three miserable teams at home -- those are the games we'll win this year. They just happened to get strung together in a nice cheery little row for us.

We started off 0-3 last season with that opening road disaster. Then Beno came on board, Artest back from his suspension, and things started to slowly improve. Not unlike this year with 0-4 start and Brad gone from suspension. Somehow this years team seems a bit better, deeper with full roster, but in the end it may be a whole lot of 4 loses for every 3 wins - netting about 35 total W's.

And regarding teams worse or better than last season, I'm not sure where Detriot fits in EC - probably worse. I thought when Billips was traded Stuckey might replace him in their line-up. Instead it appears now AI is THE Pistons PG running THE show as HIS show. The Pistons no doubt rented him for one-year, but since he'll turn 33 by next season looking for a new contract you'd think he'd want to pretend he was the PG in place of a real PG.

I'm not as pesimistic about the last three games as Bricky is, but I tend to lean more in his direction than being so optimistic, as to think were playoff bound. This team still has no identity, other than helter skelter from night to night.

I think were a long way from knowing what this team can accomplish. Short team and long term. So enjoy the beach and the sun as long as it lasts, because I see rain on the horizion. I did bring an umbrella, did you?

Helter Skelter is probably a good description of how we play and what we can expect this season. We have enough veterans, good young players and play hard enough to be frisky and beat the bad teams (especially at home). However, by the end of the season, I suspect the Spurs, Clippers, etc. will pass us up. I think us and the Warriors will be farily even this year, batting it out for the 3rd worst record in the West. If we trade Miller and filler before the deadline we might spring past them into an even worse seed however.

When I see the teams below us on the standings in the western conference, I actually do see the ability for us to beat those teams for the 8th seeds. At the moment I reckon we are a better team than those below us.

Memphis, Dallas, Golden State, San Antonio (even more so with parker out), Oklahoma City, Minnesota and the Clippers.

I Just think we are a better team then these few. I know it's only a few games into the season, but im loving the play of our future especially from Spencer, Thompson and Bobby Brown.

We still have ways to go, but the future seems to be BRIGHT! =)

GO KINGS!!!!

We are better than them right now, but we are coached more poorly than SA, GS, and Dallas at least. Dallas is old and grinding to a halt, SA is mortally wounded w/o Parker and the rest need a little help from above to get their stuff straight. I think we end up 9th, and if the Clippers or Warriors never gel we may sneak into the playoffs.

I would like a trip to the playoffs. I would love for the kids to get to the playoffs, even if the other team is holding a broom. :D

This is like making wedding plans because you heard your 4th grader being teased about a member of the opposite sex.

Maybe we will have a 3-game stretch this easy in March, depending on how things go for various teams this year. If not, this was as easy as it gets until next season. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Watching these kids grow up right before our eyes is going to be fun, especially Hawes and Thompson. Wins are a bonus. I just want to see these guys IMPROVE from game to game.

And how ironic would it be if the Kings win the lottery this time around with no bona fide numero uno... just like when we had the 1st pick and took Never Nervous... can't win for losing for crying out loud.

Didn't mean to pee in everyone's Cheerios.
