Watch live KINGS games on iPhone, Android

Slingbox doesn't do much good if you're out of market. Though if you are in market that would be the way to go since it sounds like the local games are blacked out.

huh? Slingbox is right off your home system. You get the same blackout on both. Slingbox you can watch on your phone or laptop etc the same thing as home.

Doesn't Slingbox only stream what I can get on my cable box? So I'd still have to buy League Pass plus the iPhone slingbox app vs. buying this. This sounds like a great cheap option if League Pass is out of your price range.

But buying the slingbox is a 1 time purchase and you can watch anything you can as at home vs app that you are paying just to watch the nba. And its free for the windows mobile clients. :p

The only drawback on the sling is you need a decent upload speed for the internet. I have a 384k fiber and it runs ok. Oh, plus you can download the normal client for PC and watch on a laptop. I went on vacation in 06 and took the laptop. Hooked it up to the TV to watch the games.

Does this work if you don't have the channel at home? I would be interested in doing this for my Ipod touch. Very interested.

does nba broadband have an app? they should get one if they dont have one. i m gonna check my iphone...

(checked app store)

they do have an nba league pass mobile app but it costs 39.99 and if you already have league pass you still have to pay 40 bucks. i paid 160 for league pass and nba broadband. im not paying an additional 40 bucks to watch my team lose on my iphone.

which was the point of the thread but i just wanted to not pay more money for something i already have.

I understand that but league pass is $160 or something a year vs. potentially $40 a year. Obviously if you already have league pass or are local to the team you want to watch the NBA app doesn't make much sense.

I'm pretty sure Slingbox is $20 for iPods. I have had a Slingbox since they came out but I don't use it as much as I used to.

What they heck man! It says I cant watch the kings game because it is blacked out in my area.......I live in Rocklin.

Doh! I guess I misunderstood when blackouts happen. So since I live close enough to Sac and all games will be shown on either comcast or local tv I wont be able to see any Kings games with this app? Sheesh, what a waste of money. Wonder if they would give me a refund.

Well they have a quick little feature to refund and uninstall so I got me money back already. It's a neat application, was just hoping to be able to catch Kings games on the go, but since I am always on the go in the Sacramento area it does not work well for me.....stupid blackouts. The video quality was not bad at all. Certainly not HD quality but much better than some usual feeds you can find on the internet.

I have a question about league pass broadband, but don't want to start up a new thread. How do the blackout works? I'm in Sac right now and it is blacked out. Will it be the same thing in Davis, which is where I'll be during the weekdays?

Kings games will be blacked out on league pass in the Davis area, too. Sorry...

100 mile radius from Arco.
